Dave and Evelyn review the Nikon Z6 III. Boasting the market's inaugural ‘Partially Stacked’ CMOS sensor, this camera is designed to handle virtually any photographic or video challenge. But how does it truly measure up in performance?

It's like there's something rare with the newest Nikon color science camera, it always looks natural and with pleasing skin tone but in a beautiful way, no matter what and without any effort

Wow. That 240fps HD clip of the bird is amazing. @8.33min.

My next camera after 10+ years of D7000.

I have a Z8 for fast moving subjects and a Z6II for everything else. I see no compelling reason to upgrade the Z6II. It’s still a fabulous camera. If I only had a Z6II I would probably upgrade. Nice review here - you two are always very down-to-earth, so thanks.

Definitely getting one, moving up from my D5300! The commercial was awesome! lol

Hi Dave, Ev, thank you for the video. @Dave, you mention at 5:18 the Z8/9 have a faster processor and can do more calculations/s, hence the better AF speed. The Zf, Z6iii, Z8 and Z9 all have the same Expeed 7 processor, I guess you meant the Z8/9 have a full stacked sensor vs partial stacked (Z6iii) and regular BSI (Zf), which will give faster read-out and hence better AF speed.

Anyway, I enjoyed your overview, thank you!

To me, it's all about EVF. So far, ANY of the many EVFs out there were horrible for me to look through. To me, EVF was lagging, shimmering and making me nauseous. That has to do with an eye condition I have (I'm nyctalopic), and that prevented me to upgrade to mirrorless. Until now! The Z6III is the first mirrorless with an EVF I actually find usable with my eyes. So yeah, I'm gonna buy it ;-)

So excited about this camera. It fills a major hole in Nikon’s lineup. I have a Z8 and I love it. When I’m ready to get a second Z body, I’ll probably pick a Z6III

Comparison to Lumix S5II would be great, particularly for low light video shooting.

Can you tell me does it have a moon and bird setting? And also what would you recommend for a lens that will be a good zoom for owls moving?

I currently have the original Z6 as a backup and fun camera to my bigger and heavier Z9. I can’t wait to pick up a Z6III as my new backup! Great video.

Ugh!!! I feel personally attacked by this Z6iii now my Z6ii is so horrible and slow and I only have a tilting screen 😅 I do definitely want it though

Hello! I want to buy a new camera and I am undecided between Nikon z6iii and Sony a7iv? Which one is worth it?

Is the AF better on Sony? Is the partially stacked sensor worth it? Sony has 10 fps and Nikon has more 😢

Any thoughts?

Looks interesting, but I wish they included all the animal detection modes like Fuji does on their cameras.
In Australia I think it is a bit expensive

Ok the "I'm looking for a Nikon camera, 6K..." made me chuckle...I can't wait to get a Z6III.

The Z 6 III is a great camera. I Sold my Z 6 II as I was NOT impressed with that camera. I think Nikon really needs a Z 50 II or a Z 90 ASAP. I own the Z 9 and Z 8 and the Indigo Blue Z f with a Kontise Leather half case which gives it added protection and a far better grip, that leather half case is in Blue too. If you are undecided on a Z f or a Z 6 III I'd already recommend the Z 6 III. I ONLY use the Z f with the 28 mm SE lens. Of ALL of these cameras the Z 8 is a Rock Star. And with long lens the Z 9. I do use the Nikon Z 50 everyday with the kit 50-250. The Sensor shields on the Z 9 and Z 8 are amazing.

Hey there I really like your videos! Just wondering, did you find the dynamic range acceptable? How does it compare to other cameras at its price point? Thanks.
