I worked as a mechanic for a large fire department in Florida for over a decade. We tried ever brand out there. For longer front tire longevity. Michelins lasted twice as long as anyother brand, but also cost twice as much. But pulling a fire 🔥 truck out of service to replace a worn tire is a major hassle 😡

I would highly recommend checking out Tire Rack reviews too because they have both written and video comparisons of tires in the similar categories. For instance, they show how for similar or less money you can get a better riding and quieter tire in the Grand Touring segment than the recommended Standard Touring Defender 2 recommended here.

Had to get red of my Michelins after 35, 000 because of noise and yes I did rotate them every 5, 000 miles they still had about 5/32 left but the noise was unbelievable

Why have you guys still not reviewed the Falken Wildpeak AT Trail? It is a super popular on-road all terrain tire that would work great on a lot of crossovers and SUVs.

I've got the Michelin CrossClimate2 tires on my Lexus RX350 and they sure are GR8! Amazing traction in all weather. Pricey, but Costco had an awesome sale on a set of 4.

Been running TerrainContact A/T's for 4yrs on Tacoma and now Tundra, very happy with them. Great in winter as well but since tread depth is getting down there, I'll be switching over to Blizzak LT in a couple weeks but plan on running out the tread on the TerrainContact's come spring . Will be replacing with the same. Only down side is the price has gone up $100 per tire since 2020. Also there's no way your getting 70k miles out of them, maybe 60k. Good even wear, regular rotation. Given the number of weights on my Method rims, they struggled to balance them.

Just cancelled my order for Cross Climate 2 for a set of Pirelli Scorpion Weatheractive.

I strongly think I've made a good decision.
It was also 25% cheaper

I have to disagree with the legendary CrossClimate2. Had them on my SUV and was disappointed in their snow traction. Once the plows go by, they are fine. Thanks to them, I'm back to 3-season tires and a winter tire set.

These were the top rated tires. Often on CR tests there are tires equal or close in their ratings. Go buy a magazine and see for yourself.
I’ve had the Michelin CC2’s on my RAV4 for a couple years and I expect to get about 45, 000 miles out of them. I’m putting on Vredstein Hi-trac’s next.

You can never go wrong with Michelin. They are great. But there are better tires out there than Michelin across the board.

Much more useful information is how a tire performs after 50, 000 miles of use!

I have had defenders for years. When I went o change the tires on our ‘18 crosstrek the defender was not made in the right size. It was after I bought the Goodyear weather ready that the defender2 came out in the right size. The Goodyear tires are an enormous disappointment.

The cross climate 2 have really poor lateral grip. I have them on my sedan and regret getting them over the as4. Have you reviewed the pirelli sp3?

The only reason only premium brands are compared is because science and research always agree with those who fund them. Big tire stores make up to $25 spiffs per tire, when they offer what their distributor wants them to offer. There's many many brands out there that don't cost an arm and a leg and will match and outperform these premium mega-expensive brands.
