I had a Gamestop one block away from my house. Me and my two friends used to go their and hang out all the time and the clerks even let us play games and help. That was until one of my ahole friends stole a game... After that they made a no loitering policy.

Gamestop has for far too long relied on buying used games at way less than their actual waorth and then selling those used games at a way more than street price. If they want to keep the physical games sales going they need to pay attention to what Mom and pop stores are doing.
- Don't insult your customers by offering very little for used games that have held value or are actually worth more
- treat your customers with respect, treat your employees with respect and try to retain employees that your customers trust and are actually knowledgeable about your product
- have an area for customers to congregate, sell snacks and setup demo units
- stop putting your stores in malls with limited space so your stores can hold more inventory and cater to customers that want to browse your library and socialize. Make your storte a lace they want to hangout and spend money. Like comic and hobby stores.
- create online groups where customers can meetup and chat while playing games at home. Like they are already doing with things like Discord.
- Look into adult spaces like Barcades that you could attach to your stores. The adult gamer is a very large and under targeted audience. Video games have been around fir 59 years now. It isn't just kids and teenagers.
- Physical game ownship is still a thing. Maybe carry less new stock of the latest and greatest and do some market research about what games people by physical copies of to collect. And that sure ain't Sports games with their yearly releases and lack luster updates. anything with a yearly release should be treated as a cancer in your store you only bring in for those that request of preorder.
- Mobil games are popular but they represent an audience that is NOT the same as the console and PC audience. Don't focus on it as part of the gamestop brand unless its hardware for phones like gamepads or battery packs.

Online and digital copy of games really torn GameStop apart. Hope they can really turnaround as I would love prefer physical copies and interaction with the stuff there.
