This is 1971 Honda CB350. I bought it in non-running condition, and although I was told it ran and rode 3 years ago, the decades-old tires say otherwise. It seems like this bike has been through many hands, as It once got custom pin-striping, then someone tried to give it the "cafe-racer" look, and now it's just in various pieces. So, I gathered up those pieces and got started putting this bike back on the road.

Chapters
00:00 - Intro
2:20 - Checking the basics
-Battery condition, fuel and oil, making sure the engine turns over
4:24 - Cleaning the ignition points
5:23 - Checking for spark
6:51 - Seeing if it'll fire off
7:22 - Cleaning the carburetors
11:55 - Installing the carburetors and hearing it run
14:40 - Unloading
16:19 - airing it up and blowing off cobwebs
17:34 - Seeing if the battery can be saved
18:28 - Cleaning up some wires
-These wires normally go inside the headlight bucket, someone replaced the headlight and taped them up against the frame.
24:01 - Getting it to run for a little longer, making some adjustments and inspections
- Replacing the fuel lines and installing the gas tank. I had to re-adjust a throttle cable, then I made sure the alternator was charging the battery and the transmission was working. I also had to adjust the clutch mechanism.
29:24 - Riding it around the block
30:00 - General maintenance
-Changing the oil, which ended up being overfill and caused issues with the clutch. I replaced the leaking side cover gasket, then did a basic tune up: Resetting the timing chain tension, checking the point gap, and checking the ignition timing.
41:33 - Fixing the tachometer
-Some internal components were snapped and bent, I was able to make it good enough for now.
46:46 - Replacing the fork seals
53:55 - fixing the kickstand from smacking the exhaust pipe
54:55 - Re-installing the forks
56:21 - Replacing the tires
1:04:07 - Balancing the wheels
1:05:34 - Re-installing the wheels
1:09:28 - For next time
1:09:46 - Let's boogie
1:11:23 - Cat & horse

LOVE the video. No talking heads, jabbering, talking about what they're GOING TO DO, before they do it. Repeating titles. Being all dramatic about 'how tough' its gonna be to fix something that is 'so beyond dirty" they just dont know.. All the fake verbal crated reality tv style drama of people on youtube, with their endless minutia, diatribe, and tangents and diarrhea of the mouth.

I think this guy is living in the '90s, and with these videos he's reminding us what it was like.

This guy just proves there is no substitute for doing things right. Very hard these days to find this quality of work

I have a 69 sitting in my living room that I've had forever. It's just been art for the most part for a while until I watched you bring this one back to life. Now I have the urge to finish working on it and fire it back up. Thanks old buddy I needed that.

And the Oscar for photography and editing goes to Let`s Boogie, the silence in the scene was perfect

The oil going straight through the fork is both hilarious and something we have all done. 🤣🤣

I love how you fix everything with basic tools on the cheap. You keep the old gear running and totally easy to tell what you are doing with out commentary. Probably one of my favorite channels right now. Keep em coming.

I feel so much better about my life after watching this instead of an episode of White Lotus. Thanks for the great content!
