When I played this quest I did it without music, unless I was in battle, because it set the horror ambience really good and I actually liked it better then if doing it with the background music that is so calm

So many people talking about how shes not really evil, just lacking empathy or remorse for her actions. Me sitting here like:

"Thats legit the definition of a sociopath." I mean lets be honest she was legit about to let that emenator, even if just for s minute, propagate to hell and back, and destroy half of the station lol. Not to mention casually goes and drugs us, tells us were not allowed to talk to anyone using her name by making us consume a serum that makes us speak like a complete idiot if we even bring up her name. And ontop of all of this she even made it so that eventually we will forget all about the events and how theyre related to her because shed rather make it so she can forge better memories with us. Cause yknow, remembering her as the person who almost fucked over herta space station single handedly would be bad for a baddie like her looool. All in the persuit to become an Aoen, which as we are currently seeing with Nous, a computer that decided "im god now" is not exactly a very smooth transition lol.

Bassically, yes, she is definitely moreso on the evil side of the spectrum. Not a bad thing, seems like a character thats going to be going through a lot of growth because of Stelle/Caelus. Cant wait to see how she eventually

Just did this for the first time with JP VO and holy shit Ruan Mei has NO emotions in Japanese. Just a curious but 100% emotionally detached genius scientist, which makes her even more unsettling.

I dont like Ruan Meis, character because of how forgiving people are to her for being a beautiful woman. She is evil in today's use of the term...selfish, manipulating, apathetic for life. Yes she may feel some guilt now but she has done countless experiments under the excuse of her trauma.

Trauma is something everyone on this planet has, if you are to excuse her actions because of trauma you would have to make a case for every malicious person, dictator and murderer. Most people would forgive her because shes beautiful and yes a woman, especially in today's society.

men are generally the protectors in relationship and history, because woman had to birth children in order for the species to be prolonged, this I feels makes men more forgiving to woman because they are essential for survival. Woman are more forgiving to woman because, because of relatibility to there own species as well as there own protective nature to there children, since woman also present child like features in the general idea of beauty. As well as the repressention of woman in social media feminisum, woman rights and so on... (Which obviously is a really good thing)

I feel like this makes this character really frustrating because most people will take her side, but in a situation where a man did it he would be found irredeemable. Imagen being manipulated by a man, or being fed an anti-truth-serum drug by a man. its the idea of double standards, and I feel like this is just a reality in life.

whooo I feel a little better now, I kinda just wanted to get my opinion out there, please correct me or bring your own opinion, I do want people to see this post, so that I can feel a sense of being heard its actually really nice to take your frustrations and put them out there on the internet.

It feels like Ruan Mei is in the middle of her instigating villain arc, right on that fine line between an epiphany and falling into obsession with slowly degrading morals. I wouldn't be surprised if they come back to this a long while later and make it so that the trailblazer becomes their anchoring point that prevents them from taking that dive.

I'd describe Ruan Mei as being basically like Dr. MEI from HI3. They're not actively malicious but their intellect and methods isolates them heavily from the people around them. I feel the former is basically what the latter could have potentially been like had she never met Kevin and the Honkai didn't exist to screw things up.

I think she's not really evil.

I think she's more sociopathic than anything else. Especially when it comes to her research regarding lifeforms. To her, achieving answers to her questions is of utmost importance than the morality of her experiments regardless of whatever their results may be.

Though we do see that she's capable of caring for others despite being emotionally stunted. And is willing to acknowledge her mistakes and even act on fixing their consequences.

I'm really excited in seeing more of her and Dr. Ratio in the story~!

I don't think she's really evil, she's just really irresponsible and not caring. And I guess she feels proud about it, overall she just seems confused, but putting up a strong front

Ruan mei is a little bit tsundere about her cat cakes, she act like she doesn't care about them and left them, but constantly asking about their condition to trailblazer and asking if they can send photos of the cat cakes to her, even promising to visit them again, it's kinda cute
