she's a bonafide psycopath, and I dont mean that as an insult, I mean as in clinically a psychopath, she cannot understand empathy or human emotions and by doing her biology experiments she seeks to understand it, her ultimate goal to be an Aeon is probably an effort to truly understand life but even if she does acomplish it she'll be no different than Yaoshi except even more unhinged, at least Yaoshi "loves" her chilldrem, Ruan mei is not evil just because she couldnt comprehend the concept of morality hence she has no malice, she's just a psychopath

Ruan Mei isn’t evil per se but her desires to be an Aeon may lead her down a dark path and later on she may become something similar to an emanator or maybe even achieve her goals of godhood if she does this then that could change the story a ton where now the goal would be to make a successor to dead Aeons such as akivili and I think that is something the express is inevitably going to try to do using the trailblazer
