Both genshin impact and honkai star rail are mihoyo game. That's why in their latest game honkai star rail there are some genshin references. They are both in the same "HoYoVerse" after all!

Not just Genshin, they have references to literally everything. The dialogue when you interact with objects reminds me of undertale, there is a hitchhikers guide reference (42) and a fight club reference, plus so much more

Theres another Paimon reference in the Starskiff Central of the Xianzhou Luofu, and I think its only a limited interaction as well when talking to a guard thats blocking a pathway. Talking to them a number of times will make them say the dialogue "How about we explore this area ahea... I mean, the area ahead is currently under lockdown and inspection. This route is closed for the time being." :D

I love HSR's writing! I got caught off-guard when I got yelled at by some guy for opening a chest next to him, or when I broke a pot and a guard tried to deliver justice unto me. There's a certain suspension of disbelief in games. Unspoken norms like looting chests and breaking furniture, and no NPC ever reacts to it. When they do, it just rips you right out of the game! (In a good, comedic way.)

I love how self aware HSR is as well. Theres a dialog where a guard asks you how youre so skilled and one of the answers is literally "I gacha'd it"

There's another paimon reference in central starskiff haven at xianzhou luofu, if you approach the area when it's still in lockdown before entering the first building (the area that have stairs down) the guard will tell you that same word

They also took a dig at Genshin once. In one of the side quests, there's this specific dialogue in which one of the characters says this:

"What do you think an upgrade is? The next version of a video game? Some tiny rewards handed out every one-and-a-half months?"

I remember there is one spot in Hook's quest referencing Paimon as Emergency Food crate, referring to be soaked in water, assumed to come from a river.
