I don’t think anyone from Africa or the Caribbean should speak of laziness. If you left your country to come hear you where to lazy to fight to better your country.

Thank you, Sister. We definitely need more Africans like you to speak up.

We built the country to have these opportunities....all the while getting sabotaged. That's the difference

When I was in college there was a Nigerian student who was super hateful towards African Americans, and it was wild. He actually called me a lazy criminal once. Then two weeks later had the nerve to ask for my help in a class we were taking. He just couldn't be helped, and ended up dropping out of the engineering program, while I continued on and got two degrees.
This is about shame, and you can tell who is trying to compensate for it. Africans have a LOT to learn from African Americans, but the egos are out of control.

Western media depicted negative stereotypes of black people in America while depicted showing positive stereotypes of non-black people. ❤

It’s nice to see more black people in the diaspora understand this. I’m sending this to my Haitian parents

I am an African American who has relocated to Nigeria during the lockdown. The struggle I have experience as an American someone who choose to come to the United States will not have the same struggle. Here in Nigeria as an American I don't have the same struggle as a Nigerian. For African Americans I tell Nigerians all the time how toxic and hostile the country is for us. As African American we will fight until we die for a cause, whereas Nigerians don't fight because they are afraid to die. We know what happened to our ancestors and we refuse to pretend that we are happy about it. Akon has never lived among African Americans or been up close and personal to hear our real story. I can honestly say I know Nigerians story because I lived, ate, slept, worked and been in their shoes for now going on three years. Burna boy and Akon really need to do their research before making such bold statements about a group of people who have seen nothing but division, pain, trauma, death and chaos.

As an African, of 39 years and living in Africa, I must say that the African American community has had a great influence on me. From music to sports etc. whatever is cool in the world is usually from African Americans. They have fought so hard to be where they are and continue to fight. I have never lived in America so I cannot even begin to say I understand what they have been through or continue to go through. Much love from the mother land to all of the African American community in the USA

I understand this! Born in Atlantic Canada, most people do not know that slavery was in Canada, so there are Black communities that were there before Canada was called Canada. My exposure to Africa as a child was world vision, unicef, and movies. Everything indicated that Africa was only a country* and enveloped in disease, poverty, and war. I didn't know that there were cities or any opportunities. I didn't know that the people could smile...only when serving WP. The manipulation of the African people has only separated us, as a whole, and benefitted other groups. It's an ugly thing what has been done to our people.
If not for the internet, I would never know the beauty of Africa and the true home that awaits me. I agree with you sister. We all need to grow in love with each other and move to mend. We need to stop worrying about mending the relationships in the West and worry about our own brothers and sisters.

People are clearly jealous of black Americans. Scamming is not a hard thing to do😂

Your assessment is spot on. Remember that it is Black Americans who have borne the brunt of the fight against racism. Countless lives were lost and the fight is still ongoing.

As an African American myself, I just want to say thank you for this video. I really would love to work with my African brothers and sisters, but there’s just so much animosity between us that I don’t know if I can right now.

As a South African, our African brothers thing we are also lazy here in SA. We fight for a higher minimum wage for everyone then they come in and accept much lower salaries

Africans come to American hoping to do what all immigrants hope to do in America. This was make possible by the past and present struggles of Black Americas. Not many non-whites were coming here in droves when we were all physically oppressed, now they people can come here and be treated like human beings they discount our struggle. We were taught that Africa was poor, corrupt, and hated Black Americans. I try to take what is said about All Black people with a grain of salt because I understand that there is concerted effort to keep us down. The problem is we don’t all see it. Anyway, I’m rambling.

Thank you for this video. I am from the Carribean who moved to North America and it was hard for me to understand certain aspects of history because Where I am from we experienced things differently. I understand the strife of my brothers and sisters for sure but there are other aspects that do not resonate with me because of how my culture was formed. However, I still and will always believe we are one and should always strive to protect eachother because no matter where we go in this world every other race see us as all the same so we should respect eachother as such and look out for one another as such and respect eachother's differences.

I’m a US black citizen and appreciate my sister’s take on this matter. At the end of the day all black people are in the same boat. One disparaging the other is ludicrous.
