As an African who came to Canada in 2018 I really struggled For the first two years but saved up money by doing crazy overtime for those two years living in a house with 4 other ppl paying $300 for rent .finished school then became a manager at the same place i worked at Making $40 an hour now bought a house for cheap 80k cleaned it and renovated it for 20k and got married this October 2023. All I wanna say don't expect too much all at once my $40 an hour might not be much for some ppl but for me it's plenty and I'm still working on getting better don't hate your life before trying your hardest to change it!
