Introduction to Limiting Reactants

Limiting reactant, also called as limiting reagent, is the first reactant to get used up in a chemical reaction. Once the limiting reactant is completely consumed, the reaction has to stop and cannot continue. In reality, not all reactants are consumed. There will extra of the other reactants. Those are called the excess reactants. In this video, we'll first learn about limiting reactant. We will also use an analogy to understand the principle behind this.
