You know, props to Adam, he got hurt and kept going. Guys like him, you expect them to get hurt once and then run for their lives. Instead, his reaction to getting stabbed is literally just "Bring it". For all his flaws, he wasn't a coward.

Remember that Charlie made Adam bleed, which Alastor was unable to do. This defiantly confirms that Charlie would indeed beat Alastor in a fight mid diff at most.

When you think about it, it's poetic. Adam, the first man, is technically the ancestor of all sinners. Yet he kills them without a second thought, making him the biggest child murderer in history. Charlie, on the other hand, is completely seperated from the rest of humanity when it comes to family, because of her being the daughter of Lucifer, an angel and Lillith, the first woman who refused Adam's control.

So, Charlie, while not actually being part of humanity's lineage, sees them as her family. But Adam, who has the biggest family tree in history, doesn't care in the slightest bit and murders them for fun.

God, it's so stupid, but I absolutely love when animated shows give humans animalistic body language in fights. Charlie whipping her tail around to make herself appear bigger when faced with a 'predator', Adam doing the same by bringing out his wings to display dominance...it's such a simple element, but it goes such a long way in building tension.

I wish we got more of Charlie actually fighting. 0:17 and grabbing Adam’s punch later were the only moments we saw her show her strength in a fight

You know Charlie in her demon form, with tail and trident, looks like the classic representation of the Devil.

And a high-ranking one at that. It just needed a more capable wielder.

Some people don't seem to understand that, yes, Charlie is really powerful and has a lot of potential, but she is untrained, and probably due to her sweet and pacifist personality she has never fought before, especially at this level. Adam is not some random jerk, he is a very powerful character and, being both the first man and one of the most ancient characters, he has a lot of experience. So yes, it is obvious that in a short time he overpowered Charlie. Does this mean Charlie is weak? Not at all, it means that now yes, she is strong, but she doesn't know how to fight, if she ever had to train seriously then she would kick everyone's asses
