Adam and Eve weren't the first people...according to the Bible | Ask JeGaysus - Pre-Adamites

That's right, in the Bible there is specifically a contradiction in Genesis Chapter 1 vs Chapter 2. Most Scholars believe this is two different authors (not Moses) who have two different takes on the creation story. One is poetry and one is more literal. But also, there literally could have just been people before Adam and Eve. Pre-Adamites believed this. But so did Jewish people 300-700 AD or so. They have the myths of Lilith written as a story to explain how Eve was created at a later time, technically Adam's second wife.

This isn't new or radical, but somehow it is still a HOT TAKE, I get it. But I ask that you debate kindly. Especially if you consider yourself a Christian. Really really be open to researching this topic.

Adam and Eve had a lot of children, not just cain and Abel

Someone I knew years and years ago (I don't even remember his name, he was a friend of my dad) had mentioned a sort of hypothesis about Adam that I still find interesting to this day.

He posed the idea that Adam was not the first man, but the first to begin developing language. The Bible says that Adam and Eve were tasked with naming the beasts in the garden. This guy had said something to the effect of, "what if Adam wasn't actually the first person, but he's the first memorable one because developing language extended the life of his tribe. Instead of just grunting when a tiger was near he'd have been like, 'look out! It's a f**king tiger!'"

I actually had questions about that. When I was in my religions class for college I loved how the professor showed us a different way to look at the Bible. For example, he pointed out that we usually read the bible from the stand point of our day and age but it was written centuries ago. He believed that by attempting to read it while understanding the life of the people in those times you can have a better understanding of what the Bible is actually trying to say

The assumption is that Cain was youngish when he killed Abel. This could have happened well into their seventies or eighties, by this time they would have been more children of Adam and Eve. Non-dogmatic speculation is fun.

It's not hard to work it out. By the time Cain turn 300 yo, his parents could have 200 other kids that have 20 kids each = 2000 that might have more than 30 kids eack = 60k kids etc.

So in Genesis two it is actually an account of the sixth day, it doesn’t mention anything about after the 7th day, plus it says no shrub had been planted, therefore Adam and Eve had not appeared yet because it says that god gave mankind every seed bearing fruit, so likely the seeds. Which means Adam and Eve were in fact the first as they began to plant the seeds, also it never mentions the actually time distance from the creation of Adam and Eve and the fall.

There is a difference between all people having a single or a pair of common ancestors and a species starting with only two individuals.

We very likely do all have a pair of common ancestors, but only because eventually if you trace ancestry back far enough, the same individuals will wrap around your family tree and appear on both sides. The farther back you go the more likely both of you parents had a common ancestor not because there were only a handful of individuals, but because so many people have children with so many other that they eventually traverse the full spectrum of reproducing individuals.

There would still be other humans around these common ancestors, and many of them are also likely ancestors of many people as well.

This theory can be easily debunked by Genesis 2:4. It reads "This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the LORD God made the earth and the heavens." This tells us that Chapter 2, which tells the story of God creating Adam and Eve, takes place DURING the 6 day period of time that God created the world, and not after.

Adam and Eve is possibly about the white race which started in the Caucasus just as Noah did, but that is one theory.

Humans before Adam, did not have Spirit Existence in them. This is why they did nothing.
Starting with Adam was the merging of both Existences and why we can hope, Dream, build great things.
God let us know Spirit Existence is put into the human brain creating a "MIND".
By this, is how God can resurrect mankind and why no one before Adam cannot.
They were PURE flesh and blood like the animals of the Earth and their one life, is it for them to live to those before Adam and the animals of the Earth.
