Hey Scott hope you and the family are well, I'm catching up with your last 3 videos, I love your journeys, the diversity of SoCals landscapes is amazing to me, I was confused at first as I thought Highway 39 was closed then you came to the barriers and my confusion was gone, I like to sit in my house in England and escape with you on your journeys, keep up the good work and I'll keep coming with you, all the very best Stuart a Scot living in England 👍

I lived in HB right at PCH and Beach Blvd/39 for 15 years. I use to drive from there all the way up the 39 to the end like you did. Spent a lot of time up there fishing, hiking and mostly relaxing. I hope they don't repair and open it up the Hwy 2, that will increase traffic and destroy the peace of it all. And that winding road will increase accidents for sure. Been 18 years since I've been there so nice to take a ride and see how much has changed, for the good, no guard rails last time I was there.

So, so pretty. A lovely excursion into nature. Yet so close to a major urban area. Hard to believe it so devoid of human habitation. Thank you for another great excursion. I always enjoy our drives.

My Dad taught me to drive up Old 39 before the rock slide in his ‘50 Buick with no power steering. It was a fun day to go up from Orange County and go down the backside to Wrightwood and then home.
