A Monroe family is taking legal action against their former property management company, claiming widespread mold in their rental home led to severe health issues including seizures and skin conditions.

Viktor Rizhkov said his family discovered they were living with dangerous mold levels after his children began experiencing serious medical problems.

"[My son] had blood in his cheeks, skin problems, my wife was always crying," Rizhkov said. "Something was flying out from the air registers."

The family ordered a mold test for their home, which was managed by Main Street Renewal (now known as Alto Asset Company 1). The test returned positive results, according to Rizhkov.
