Curves: hug opposite the direction of the curve.
Curve right, hug left.
Curve left, hug right.

Another good tip is do not make a right turn on a red light. Wait till it is green. I only turn right on red if there is little to no traffic and I am know the area.

I have passed  my cdl test  today  and  am  full fledged  truck  driver  because  of you guys . I have learnt  a lot  and  still learning  from you  guys .  You  have no  idea  how  what  you  are  doing  is  improving  many peoples' lives  including  mine . Thanks  again guys

Best way to say it is, "you don't drive the tractor, you drive your trailer." I was truck driver for 10+ years. Good videos!

Key thing is to just remember to always watch the trailer in your mirror whenever you make any sort of turn.

The reason I fail to watch my trailer through to the end is because I'm always trying to see what's in front of me. Especially when I'm going through yield. That's the only thing that's stopping me from getting my CDL right now:(

Do you have any videos that demonstrate single lane turns? My DMV test is only on single lane roads. I failed because I took up too much space and ran over a curb. :( Prior to my test I have only performed turns demonstrated in this video which are considered “easy.” I need harder more complex in town/city turns. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

This is off topic sorta but when I did my training 15 years ago I was taught GOAL get out and look while backing. Well when I did my driving test for my CDL first thing I did was go play in the cone yard and the old lady wanted me to back in between a set. Well it wasn't a hard one like a 45 or something but I stopped got out to go check where I was positioned and she said you can't do that. And I said thats how they taught me and she said you don't get to on your test. That kinda offended me but rules are rules I guess. I passed anyway

How in the HELL is it considered a HIT-AND-RUN if you hit a STOP SIGN????

What the hell are you supposed to do if you hit one...park your truck to the side of the road where there may not be a shoulder or any room whatsoever (or block the lane), get out of your truck with your documents, and walk to the bent stop sign to exchange information with an INANIMATE

Thank you for your video. I payed $2000 to a school in GA we only had one day road training and we had to tested on ourselves bc our instructor was at the DMV that morning.
