When the cops teleported behind me, and then stopped chasing me because they can't drive cars, I was so immersed that I had to quit playing the game.

I would go as far to say that this has probably been the most over-hyped video game in video game history so far. What a let down.

This has been the most honest review of this game, it amazes me the amount of features missing despite the long development time

The budget is everything

Half of it was spent in advertisement and Keanu Reeves bruh

It is weird they went for 1st person when they want us to emphasize on character looks which we never see 99% of the time.

For me it's how dead the world feels. Even if there are cars or npcs, there's always something that reminds me that this is not a "living" world.

“They tried their best though!”
Imagine if you sat at a top tier restaurant and the waiter tells you that the food will take hours to make. You expect it to be amazing, except they keep delaying to food. You get hungrier and hungrier and when they come out, they bring out a McDonald’s Big Mac. That’s how most of us feel.

This game has made me even more respectful of Rockstar and what they continue to create.

You can tell this game hit HARD on him. Dude is a die hard Witcher 3 fan. What a shame CDPR, what a shame.

Cyberpunk made me appreciate RDR2 even more...

Man, and I remembered when GTA4's world felt more alive. Keep in mind, that game is 12 years old.

Edit on 1/31/2021: I saw Crowbcat's video. Even Lego City Undercover Agent is more alive than Cyberpunk 2077!

Correction - you can indeed dance on certain dance floors. My B on that comment towards the end of the vid.
Additional review write-up
-All footage captured on PS5 (PS4 Version).
-Time to complete main story - ~19 hours. Time played - ~30 hours.
-# Crashes - 12 hard crashes. Bugs? Too many to even count
-Visuals. Man, what do you even say about it? I have the PC version and PS4 version (running on a PS5). They both look... kind of blah. Washed out visuals, blurry backgrounds, low texture work on buildings, NPC faces (not including main characters - they are great) are super basic and low-res. Weather effects aren't very intense. No wind or extreme effects... just rain. Bummer. Looking beyond the horizon into the distance the game looks pretty awful... like really bad. It looks like a first gen PS4 game. Yeah, it is a PS4 game. But still, it should look better.
-The bugs. Holy shite man. It's unthinkable that a game carry this many bugs. Who do you blame? A) The management, first. Direction is needed in all levels of the organization to make a game of this scale as good as it can be. It seems they were more focused on marketing than anything. B) The raging fans. If you sent CDPR nasty messages when they delayed the game last month or whatever, screw you. They were probably so scared of the outcry it forced them to release it last week even though they knew it wasn't ready. Really wasn't ready. The game could have released in Winter of 2021 and been better for everyone. Great job internet.
-The mini map is too small, and a complete mess of blah events where you show up, someone's doing something wrong, and you shoot them. I mean, this is the team that made The Witcher 3. Why not just axe all these icons from the map, and improve/add to the list of great side quests available?
-If you're looking for great side quests, you'll find them. But nothing like The Red Baron from W3. This game isn't on that level of storytelling.
-Involving other optional content, it's fairly throwaway and (mentioned in the video) the world is surprisingly sterile. A lack of interesting AI, scenarios, open world events and physics make it feel much more "videogamey* than GTA5. They could have learned a lot from that game.
-As such, don't think the game benefits much from it's open world. It could have easily been a linear game, condensed what it offered, tightened things up, and made a more cohesive and clean experience (bugs, performance, etc) by doing it that way. I like open world games, but if they don't make the game better, I'd rather not have them. Especially because the game isn't very detailed, both graphically and inside the world. It looks nice, but it's not densely detailed at all. Being linear or condensing the world size would have allowed much more detailed environments.
-With that said, the main narrative is exciting, moves fast, yet is surprisingly short. I was done with it around 18-19 hours in.
-Is it still pretty good though? Yep. Am I interested in replaying it? No, and that is a darn shame.

We are not talking about not being game of the decade here, it ain't even close to being a GOTY.

Iv had it at this point. I will never hype a game up ever again, those years of gaming are over.

Im genuinely confused how CDPR could go from the masterpiece that is Witcher 3 to this.

Story is completely ruined by the bugs for me. Emotional and impactful moments in the story are always ruined by bugs that pull me out of the story and ruin my immersion.

it kind of makes sense one guy did say he felt like it was an interactive story rather than a game.

7:35 thank you for addressing the lack of a living world. The level of immersion you described is exactly what I look for in an open world game, and that alone is why this game does not interest me.

A Brutally Honest Comment On A Brutally Honest Review Of Cyberpunk 2077

Honestly, the choices not mattering to me makes this almost no different than an Assassin's Creed or a bad rpg's game. I really thought Cyberpunk would change the mold and revolutionize the open world genre given what we got in Witcher 3. Lastly, I think what this game is really missing is some mini games/fun activities. Not Yakuza levels but something. Oh well hopefully they will do it later but disappointing.
