Makes 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups (250g) Flour (plain/whole wheat)
1 1/3 cups (340g) Plain yogurt
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking powder
For brushing:
4 tablespoons (60g) Butter, softened
2-3 cloves Garlic, crushed
1-2 tablespoons Herbs of your choice (parsley/coriander/dill)

Directions:
1. Make the bread: In a large bowl, combined flour, baking powder and salt. Add yogurt and mix until soft and smooth dough form.
2. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal size pieces. Roll each piece into a ball. Cover the balls and rest for 15 minutes.
3. Meanwhile prepare the butter mixture: in a small bowl mix butter, crushed garlic and chopped parsley. Set aside
4. Roll out each ball into a circle about 1/4 cm thick.
5. Heat a large cast-skillet or a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, add one circle of dough to the dry skillet and cook for about a 2 minutes, until the bottom browns and bubbles appear. Flip and cook for 1-2 minutes more.
6. Remove from heat and immediately brush with the butter mixture.

NOTES:
• If your dough is to sticky add more flour.

Good easy recipe, the yoghurt can really be replaced with anything you like, sour cream, creme fraiche, milk, water, as long as the dough is the right consistency, also you can freeze them after cooking and 4 minutes in the oven and they are perfect again.

My daughter introduced me to the exact recipe you have used and I haven’t purchased any breads since as it’s so versatile. Just add herbs/seasonings for different dishes. Delicious

This recipe is SO delicious!! ONLY thing i'd look out for is the quantity as this tends to make a very wet dough. I would use 250g flour with around 280g yoghurt :)

I used gluten free flour and it turned out really good. I started with a cup of yogurt just in case. But I needed the other one third cup. It was perfect. Thank you for this recipe and your presentation. 😊

I just made them today. It was easy and tasted great. The texture is rather chewy and crispy from the outside. Thanks for the recipe.

Great bread, very delicious, the only thing I would say is that you have to add a little bit extra flour because it's a wet mix and also add some butter and salt on the top once it's cooked, it's way better

I made naan bread at 4:50 am because I needed to make egg salad sandwich and this recipe is the best. I still make lunch for my 42 and 31 years old sons

I tried these, but I didn't have yogurt, so I used water instead. Around 3/4 cup, adding little by little till the dough felt right. Cooked on medium heat for 3 minutes on each side. They came out really tasty, nice and easy. I forgot the temp from the video actually, so next time I'll try it on med high for less time. I was wondering why mine didn't inflate, but they came out like pita bread, so it was still good. EDIT: I got it to come out just like the video on the 4th try. Some things that I did that made a difference. I kneaded the dough for at least 20 minutes. At first it's super sticky, then a couple minutes in, it forms into a nice ball, but then I kept going and it got kind of sticky again. I just kept going till my arm was hurting and I had to stop. Another thing was to stretch it out, I used the rolling pin at first to start the disc, flip roll some more, then toss the dough on my fist for a minute or so to stretch it out with gravity. Hanging it from my finger tips also helped to make it bigger, around 8 inches wide. Then the heat on the pan was medium high but a little closer to medium. They puffed up really big for me on the pan. 👍 When kneading dough, to see if it's ready, do the window pane test, where you can take a piece of dough, and stretch it out slowly and it should become like a thin membrane without tearing. There's the poke test to see if the dough bounces back, but the pane seems to be better or more obvious for me. I try not to add any flour when kneading, a very light dusting of the table at most, because the more you add, the more flavor the bread is losing, and the gluten hasn't developed as much on that new flour to be able to stretch.

Looks super delicious and easy!
Tentatively, what's the kneading time...as in how long do we have to knead the dough.

This was good I put in some baking soda and I used plant milk with vinegar in it instead of yoghurt it works well as a raising agent. They are better if you use as little flour as possible when rolling even though the mixture is super wet try to roll them thicker and use less flour then they rise up great like his
