How to install slotted brake rotors, which way they go.

The part number on the box and/or bag the rotor is in will tell you if it’s R (right side - passenger side) or L (left side - driver side).

Disclaimer: I’m not a mechanic or repairman; I’m just a person whose stuff keeps breaking so I try my best to keep it alive.

Regardless of the outside flat surface of the discs the need for "maximum cooling" install position must be followed. Regardless of flat, only drilled and/or drilled & slotted outer discs always take a screw driver and insert into the inner vains. re: the air vents sandwiched between the outside disc plates. See what way the top of the screw driver is leaning. re: If the 12:00 o'clock screw driver is at a vertical up position, then use the direction of the outside slots & vains as the turn direction guild. If the 12:00 o'clock position screw driver leans to the vehicle's front, then that rotor is for the opposite side of the vehicle (regardless of the direction of outside holes &/or slot patterns). Always remember the hidden "vent vains" are for temperature cooling. Improper direction install and the wheel hub will run "hotter" temps than factory design (which is a very bad state).

I recently bought front and rear slotted rotors from auto shack on Amazon..
Front rotors no problem..
Rears they sent me 2 passenger side rotors..
After contacting them they agreed to send me a replacement set.
Unfortunately they sent 2 more passenger side rear rotors...it is now going to Amazon to settle this as auto shack cant seem to understand they miss labeled their entire run of drivers side rear rotors...
And now im stuck with 4 passenger side rear rotors...😢
