running heavy + fortified armor with a personal shield generator and a grenade launcher has surprised me with how effective it is

Heavy Armour makes you take a tickle extra at the cost of being surrounded at every moment or stuck in the open with every laser going for your head and only your head (not the armour) stay away from these types of armour as they may look cool but will get you killed most situations.

Medium Armour is that Armour that you’d use once and never again as it’s basically the middle life. However it has some good unique perks like extra stim/frags and the one that has a chance to prevent death blows

Light Armour or should I say Trailblazer Armour is the best in the game, you can outrun most and outlast all. Why be stuck in the fight when you can make amazing ground and continue it from there. Pair this with the stamina booster and running is no such issue.

I run heavy armour with extra padding. I can survive a lot more damage than the light armours can especially from friendly fire. I will admit though I do notice the massive difference in stamina and speed but I normally run with a spear so having arrived late to the firefight means I can pick off the bigger mobs without being close to actually getting agro

Go with the light armor that gives you the benefit of medium armor protection & speed/stamina of light armor

I want to say don't be sleeping on the servo assisted medium armor it gives you extra limb health and you can throw your stratagems and grenade farther and it's really good to be honest I started using that here recently in my setup is autocannon with eat rockets eagle airstrike orbital laser and then just whatever weapons and grenades you want to use

The default armor gives you the same armor benefit as any heavy armor set, but without a speed or stamina penalty. So unless you’re looking for a specific perk, it isn’t worth using.

armour bonus doesn't work atm - so run light armour and go for the bonus you prefer - all armour currently is the same

I usually use mediuk armor for Terminids and heavy armor for Automatons and i always pick armor with the med kit bonus because the extra stims are invaluable for what i like to do

I use the Light Armor Trench Medic I think its called. I think think the extra two stims make up for the loss of protection

You dont need to wear light armor when you are equipped with the stamina booster, you are wasting the booster. Im running a medium armor with “DEMOCRACY PROTECTS” perk, and stamina booster and man, its the best, it’s difficult to die even in ridiculously harmful situations.

There is headshot damage for the player which mitigates all armor and even the terminids can do it to you. (very shitty mechanic to this time of pve game if you ask me) So even with the "armor fixing" heavy armor just makes you slower and cooler.

The legionnaire armour makes my character bleed out for some reason

Even after the fix heavy armor is worthless. Make it work like HD1 and be invulnerable to small bugs and guns, that’s the only way it will be worth it.
