Foreign words that don't fit in Japanese are written in Katakana (which is meant for this). Japanese people sound out the word and then write it down in a way such that it can be spelled using katakana. Thats why you see an increase in vowels. Theres no katakana for the 'r' in Star so it becomes 'ru' which there is a katakana for.

My japanese is horrid but the narrator says something along the lines of: "For the sake of the ones you love, what would you/are you willing to do?" I'm pretty sure its a rehash translation of Benedict(Kahn?)'s line to Kirk(Chris P).
