1)First Homework
Q.Identify whether the following given equations or polynomials are linear or quadratic equation.
1)3x2
Ans .3x2+ox+o=0 is a quadratic equation.
2)5x-9
Ans.5x-9 is a linear equation as the power of variable is one.
3)6x-18
Ans.6x-18 is a linear equation as the power of variable is one.
4)5x2+6x+4=0
Ans. This given polynomial is quadratic equation as the power of variable is 2.

Maximum index (2)
Therefore l² - 5m + 6 =0 is not quadratic equation .

:. This is not quadratic equation.

3) y³ - 6y² + y + 3 =0
:: Variable is only one type (y)
Maximum index (3)
:. This is not quadratic equation.
