2024 Ford Super Duty 7.3 Godzilla Tremor...my new truck is already jacked....WTF Ford!

So with the feedback for the channel, many wanted to see another L8T Silverado, which I love the L8T, the second runner up was another Ford Super Duty with the 7.3 Godzilla with the 4.30 gears. So I found one, a 2024 Tremor Super Duty. The deal was right enough, trade was good enough, but I had to take it for a drive and wammo, Ford drops the ball again. Watch as I show you a walk around, a drive and what I found.

Needless to say, the dealer didn't even see it and most people may have not, but I'm so anal about spending 75k that it bette be 100% right.

So sad and disappointed.

I have a 2024 F550 Lariat chassis cab. Ordered it back in July and got it first week of January. No issues of any kind. It is diesel, with the 4.30 rear end. I put a 11' flat bed on it and a new Kingstar Cruzr camper is about to be ordered for it. It will also get a new suspension that between the lift and the tires will give it a 7-1/2" lift. We're doing away with the dually tires as we need to go off-road and air down tires. Right now, with 2, 000 miles on it, and with the all aluminum EBY flatbed, the truck is getting about 15-16 mpg. That is a combined city and highway, mostly highway. We will live full-time in the truck in North America.

Love my 2024 XLT 7.3. that I ordered. I got 6k on it now with about 3k towing. I belive the projector turns into a curve. Owned 6 other supersutys and this one is a keeper. Better then my 19 f350 which some features weren't for me. I've never had bad fit and finish or parts that broke for thousands of miles.

Love these videos. Really hate that this happened to you, but awesome that you share these things with the rest of us. I'm looking at GM and Ford HD trucks, for my first new truck purchase since 2008. Please keep 'em coming!

I own a 2023 F250 XL w/STX package. 6.8L V8 engine and 3.73 rear axle. 3822 lbs of payload and 14, 100 lbs towing. I’ve towed my 32’ 8, 000 lbs travel trailer with no issues. Going up the Tejon Pass it was happy at 3500 rpm. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of higher trim levels but the STX package is very well equipped for a $58k super duty.

I have a 24 Silverado HD gaser I picked up in early November. Only quality issue I seen was a bunch of scratches around the antenna, like they were drunk trying to put the antenna on. Didn't notice it until a month later and I had put a bullet antenna on it so I didn't bother with complaining as they would blame it on me I'm sure! Other than that then golden so far!🤞🙏

So glad you considered this one. Been looking at it for a while. I know that most would probably take the 3:73 rear end, but living out here in the mountains I was wondering if the 4:30 would make more sense while towing. Keeping my fingers crossed that this proves a worthy competitor to the Chevy.

My 2020 F-350 Powerstroke was a hunk of junk right from the factory. Moldings falling off, multiple steering issues, a loose part inside the door panel the rattled around while I drove. The last Ford I'll ever buy.

To me I would just use those issues for negotiating power. The B pillar is probably a 30 second fix to pop it into place. I’ve seen the headlight mismatch in owners groups before, maybe if Ford simplified things and didn’t make so many different lighting combos they could keep them straight. That being said I have a ‘23 F250 Tremor with the 7.3 and 13k miles so far. Not a single issue or even glitch. 13mpg is my daily average, can get 14-15 on the highway if you keep the speeds around 70. 8-9 mpg towing in the 10k lb range. For what it is I think thats pretty good, and the 4.30 gears pull like crazy. Also remember with a Tremor whether you get a 250 or 350 you get the same exact truck mechanically, zero difference in axles or leaf packs etc…just a badge and door jamb sticker difference. I treat mine like a heavy duty 250…

Prime example of consequences from paying people what they “demand” rather than what they are worth. No different than when fast food workers demanded $15 hr wage but can’t get your order right. Now they complain about the cost of the burger.

I essentially have the same truck with chrome bumpers. Noticed jacked up rubber on the inside of the passenger b pillar but I was able to just push it into position. That is the only problem I’ve found in 2600 miles.

I was getting around 11mpg and then realized there is eco mode. I immediately noticed an improvement in mileage compared to the normal mode. I live in the hill country so flat land mileage has to be better but with eco mode, I’m about 1-2mpg better based on the lie-o-meter. My previous Ram 1500 was averaging 15-16 but obviously much less capable. If I can get 13 out of this one with what it can tow, I’ll be happy.

Otherwise, I love this truck. I’ve pulled my dump trailer twice now fully loaded to 14k lbs gross and it pulled it like a champ. I think it was showing around 8mpg after 70 miles up and down hills. Hopefully this will continue improving with break-in.

The B-pillar trim above your left shoulder not installed correctly is a nice touch as well.

My 2018 Toyota tundra Limited has 71, 500 miles on it and it is quiet as a mouse on the inside. The interior has no rattles whatsoever.

If you get it. Make them give you the projector style that was on the drivers side.

Owned my last Ford truck in '95. Went with Chevy till '08. Been in a Toyota ever since. I'll never spend my hard-earned money on any of these modern-day Ford trucks . The only truck i'd consider besides a Toyota would be a 2500hd with the 6.6 gas. More truck than I need, but the only gm gas v8 without the problematic afm/dfm systems.

Man! This has me considering cancelling my order on my 24 Lariat. I drove 2 Superduty trucks today, and honestly found little issues with both... Nothing as bad as what you have here though. Minor interior fit and finish issues on both. Mostly Crinkled headliners, and dash trim. AS I drove, I think well that's not as huge deal, but later yeah it kind of is at 70k, and like you said; what else did they mess up?? I voted for the Ford to be honest, but I think for your sake i change my vote

I used to work at a dodge place and I was the one to check them and we got one once that said V6 on the right side and V8 on the left and it was a diesel so all I can say it's not any better now than 20 years ago but I still love the fords and dodge''s .

Nice truck. I have the 430 gearing and I'm getting 11.6 without a load.
