That 0 ~ 60 mph unloaded is insane for something of that weight and size.
A stock 1990 Corvette only ever did 5.6 seconds.

Five Star Tuning is freaking AMAZING. Their customer service is like.. Unreal! They actually listen to you, they CALL YOU BACK, and treat you like you actually have a brain lol. Every person I talked to was cool AF, and all their tunes have been PERFECT!

As a South Carolina resident I always especially enjoy the 5 Star episodes and the local back road scenery

Imagine a regular cab with the 7.3 v8 with that pro charger and 4x4 that would be awesome

This is one of the better videos you've done in a while.
Great job Andre!

Supercharged 7.3 big block, fantastic! I swear I could see the gas gauge moving when Andre floored it on the 0-60 run with the trailer attached.

Wait until whipple brings out a roots blower. That tq curve will jump straight up and will be flat the whole way through. Awesome work 5 star and procharger!

That's some awesome power gains...but what's the fuel economy towing vs not towing in the stock vs supercharged setup?

If going from a 4psi pulley to a 8psi pulley only gains 30hp its past its limit on airflow. I'd say the 8psi pulley needs the exhaust done

I'd love to have the white Tremor with that kit on it. That thing looks wicked.

That’s an amazing truck please do some fuel economy test with it I would also like to see them push this supercharger a lot harder we know this motor can handle more horsepower with its forged internals

I've got a GM 6.2 with an Edelbrock roots style supercharger for about 45K miles now. Love the slight whistle while driving around town. Did loose approximately 2 miles per gallon driving around town. So now I average 16 mpg, works for me. Running the Edelbrock stock pulley which is 6lbs of boost. Towing up large hills, the truck will overheat compared to stock. Normally runs at 210F, but it will get up to 245F on long hill pulls with 9000lbs behind it.

That is pretty cool to gain that much HP and torque. The only down side is there goes the factory warranty. Thanks for the information and review Andre and TFL.

Great video!! That's a very nice, reliable, safe upgrade to the Godzilla power plant. And, WOW!! What a performance difference!!I like how you broke down the financials at the end. But you didn't mention a few things...

First, and probably most importantly, is you can fill up ANYWHERE. You don't have to go hunting for diesel fuel. If you're not in a rural area, that could be a challenge. You also don't have to pay the premium price for diesel. Not sure about the rest of the country, but around here, one pays between $.50 - $1.00 more per gallon for it.

Second is you don't have the very high costs associated with diesel repairs. Everyone I've ever talked with complained about how freaking expensive every trip to the shop is. You can't take a diesel in and leave with a bill less than $1500. And there's supposedly ALWAYS 'something else wrong'...That's not usually the case with gasoline engines. They tend to just keep working (and fail catastrophically if/when they do!!)

Third - what would be the difference in cost of ownership for a year between this and a diesel? Something I'd be interested in is seeing a real-world comparison of fuel mileage between this beast and a diesel. You guys love tow tests - can you take the beast for a full-tank tow test then compare the fuel consumption with a comparably powered diesel?

Again, great vid on a pretty wicked truck!!
