Oh so we aren't getting the voices of demons when we listen to an mp3

7 years later and still the simplest, and best example of WAV vs. MP3

In wave file you can hear the singer singing the deep letter in the mp3 file you only hear the singer saying shortly s, so it's clear that mp3 is flatout from the real thing, the sound in mp3 does not start and end naturally but begins at a later point but stops early then it should be, and those inverted removed parts of it proves that, you can clearly hear noise with hardly any pitch in it, it sounds more like a very poor recieving radio channel during a snow storm, hahaha.

The WAV file seems to have a thicker bass to the voice. Other than that, it’s a wash.

I love that you care about audio quality preservation. I have tried some less than stellar experiments with 640kbps MP3. It was a beast & was not worth the effort. The only player that would recognize it was VLC, which seems to play every format I have thrown at it. NOTE: I master in FLAC as it is non-proprietary unlike WAV. P.S., I love your bass traps.

To me the quality of both are practically the same. The extra money for the better quality file isn't an issue since I like vinyl anyway. But the compressed file is more mobile friendly and saves a lot more space.

It's amazing how that little amount left after removing the MP3 takes up such a large amount of space.

This was exactly what I was looking for, however uploading this video on youtube, it gets compressed, and i feel like you can hear the diference in quality in your studio is FAR better.

This is like listening to Surround sound, just because there's effects that are don't make any sense alone that doesn't mean that they don't make sense when combined to the full presentation.👍😹

there is a difference its just hard to hear. on really good equipment it is noticeable to some degree. 320kb mp3 compared to cd quality is a small bit of extra sharpness and detail. its a 3-4% difference at the most

I usually prefer the mp3 quality as it makes the sound slightly more pleasant. Tape distorts the sound far more but also can have a positive softening effect, and whilst mp3 is far closer to the wav than playing from tape, I still prefer the quality of mp3 slightly more than the wav.

Why don't we just use high quality mp3s at a bit-rate of 320kbps, u will get 9 to 12 mb size files... problem solved 😊

TY. Its a slight difference, but I can tell. I prefer the best quality audio. Even if most people cant hear it I believe their body can feel it.
