Since my podcast doesn't include any video component, I record in 44.1 kHz 32 bit float (because I like the extra headroom), I edit my raw audio in WAV files, and I export the final product to MP3.

I agree though, it's all about workflow

Another great topic! I record multi-track in wav. After any post-produciton, I'll convert to and archive in mp3. Thanks!

I typically record using a variety of DAWs and render out the first iteration of the file in .WAV. I do final edits and rendering with Hindenburg Pro, MP3 ready to upload to my podcast host. Something happened earlier today that has never happened before: The final file in Hindenburg got corrupted. Moral of the story: Ensure you have at least one backup file at every stage of production. You can always go back and delete earlier backups once your finished file is uploaded to your hosting company or otherwise complete. Your backups should be stored in a cloud service or otherwise stored somewhere else other than your hard drive. It will be rare when you need to use a backup file, but having an unbacked up file you've worked on for many hours go bad - especially if it was an interview or some other content that would be difficult or impossible to recreate - makes for a terrible day.

Hello You don't get it do you and why is WAV better if you think that Mp3 is better than that is you and your own opinion.
