It’s really hard getting rid of movies. Even when I don’t watch them. My 10 year old self tells me that blockbuster had more titles! Keep collecting!!!!

I have limited space and had already gotten rid of a few movies. I use heavy duty clear plastic sleeves to hold the dvd, cover and inserts. I store the sleeves in special dvd storage boxes. On average I have 50 movies in a 6x8x16 box to keep them dust free. I do keep steel cases or special editions in their original cases but still store them in the boxes. I have 820+ movies in 17 boxes in an approximate 4'x7' bookcase with room to spare

Curating a collection is key. I go through my movies and games every few years and pull stuff out I don't need.

The cases are what takes up space. Been putting mine in a disc binder and throwing the cases

Simple don't by movies just to review by movies because you enjoy them.

Why not buy a smaller shed that you can store bulk physical media and have your main collection in your basement?

This is why I rip my disc to hard drives and box up my disc and store them.

Collecting for the sake of collecting is silly. If they're not films you're going to watch more than once, then there's no need to buy them.

Just go outside get some fresh air and exercise make your own adventures instead of sitting watching other peoples on a screen.
Life's too short
