You gotta go try the active track and run through trees. Youll be blown away. The Mavic 2 pro will adjust itself like a wizard!!!! I tried it... and was blown away!! Seriously. itll follow you through the trees, adjust itself up and down, go around, etc... and the sensors are wicked good!!

Awesome video as always. Currently have the Phantom 4 Pro and was wondering if it was worth switching! Sounds like I'll be hanging on to my Phantom 4 a little longer

Hey Parker, I noticed you gave them a draw on image quality. But in the side by side tests you were showing, the Phantom 4 shots looked a lot sharper. It seemed like that should go to the P4. Did anyone else notice that? Thanks for the comparison, man!

Is it just me or does the Phantom 4 Pro look much sharper and better color? did we really just ignore that.

I bought the Mavic 2 Pro as a backup to my Phantom 4 Pro. I literally haven't used my P4P since. The ONLY downside that I've noticed is the lack of 60FPS on the M2P. And I'm shocked that the noise difference is that low... When I started my P4P up it drew a lot of unwanted attention. With the M2P barely anyone seems to notice. Nice video!

That thumbnail got me to click. Take note everyone, high quality thumbnails work. 👌👍

One of the best on youtube. Straight forward and informational with a little bit of awesome cinematics thrown in! Thanks for sharing Parker!

For better shots, speed, wind resistance, and better tracking and range go for phantom. But for cheaper, more portable, and smaller more nimbal drone, go mavic

As a Newbie to the Hobby, and actively thinking of buying one, this was one the best Videos on the subject that I have seen - informative (devoid of too much jargon), concise, pithy, articulate and clear & comprehendible delivery. Well done and Thnx.

Another great tutorial. Excellent assessment with pros cons. I went with Mavic Pro 2. Portability on my boat makes all the difference

Best comparisons on YouTube hands down! Parker is more precise and unbiased then Devin Supertramp, Peter McKinnon, MKBHD, or anyone of the likes! He actually puts time, effort, and quality into every video he does!

Parker spot on review 👊 of differences between M2P and P4P. I have watch many other reviews, Parker the first person out of many other YouTube creators that understands who M2P designed for in my humble opinion.

All the people complaining that M2P video features and benefits aren’t better than P4P video features need to understand M2P designed for professional photographers and videographers who love to manual control exposure, manually control white balance (using color checker passport before you fly mission), manually control aperture (make sure to use PolarPro ND/PL16, ND/PL32, ND/PL64 filters highly recommended), and choosing film type Dlog-M 10 bit in production.

So when you get to post production you’ll know your film is well exposed and composed so your post production workflow is much easier.

* M2P holds up better in heavy color grade and produces better colors in post production
* M2P has new HDR profile that P4P doesn’t have
* M2P distortion is easily corrected with Film Poets free distortion correction preset
* M2P will shoot 2.7K 2688x1512 at 50 fps so you can slow down to 23.976 fps in post production to get buttery smooth shots and still be able to have some room to scale up your shots if needed. More than likely your rendering your videos in 1920x1080 23.976 fps
* M2P gives you option to film with H.265 which is a much better codec than H.264, unless you have custom PC desktop “BEAST” will handle full resolution and H.265 codec with color grading multiple after effects layers, morph cuts, etc. in editing work. You still need to create proxy files to speed up workflow.
* M2P Problem with sharpness DJI sets in camera easily corrected by setting custom +1, 0, 0
* P4P no long in production

Great comparison and now can stop worrying if I need to get the Mavic Pro. I am very happy with my P4P. Thanks!

Thanks Parker, I'm about to invest in my first drone for my video business and I was juggling between these two (leaning toward the M2P) and you just helped me make a final decision. You're the best, IMHO. Keep it up.

Depending on what your needs are. You can do a lot more with a phantom. It’s like a work horse. I fish with my pro 3.
We have this tweaker house that was stealing everything in the neighborhood so I put flashing red and blue lights on it and flew it over their house at night. Then I have a drop mechanism and I would drop lead weights on their roof at night.

Own the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 since one year ago, quite satisfied with it, the RC with built in screen is great, very bright even under direct sun light. Only thing missing is the 10 bit color depth which would be better for color grading.
Waiting for the Phantom 5 release to decide if I’ll upgrade to the Inspire 2 with X7 camera which I’ll probably will for the ProRes and Cinema DNG codecs capabilities.
