I've used both of these drones for a while and the Phantom 4 Pro does have higher quality video and pictures but as far as flying the Phantom doesn't seem to be any better, it's heavier but because of the shape it seems to be just as affected by wind.

Probably should have powered it up first to get satellite signals while propeller put on last. Just makes more sense if you go for signal first while assembly is taking place.

May have been mentioned already, but.... it's my understanding you should 'hover' at the take-off point for a few seconds, to allow the drone to map and store the home-point. Also, I have been told the RC antennae should be perpendicular to the drone location. Little issues, admittedly. Good review!!

I've also got both, but mine is the original phantom 4 which I've had for a year now and it's been brilliant, no trouble whatsoever with it...I've had the Mavic pro since March and that has also been trouble free, Touch wood...

Great Video. I, at first, thought it was going to be very bias as to the Mavic but you ended up making it very equal on both sides. Only part that I would add is that I believe its very weird that your Phantom 4 wouldn't connect to GPS and it was dropping in elevation. I have never had either of those issues. I'm not going to say it will not happen I just want everyone to know that it isn't common for it to happen. Thanks again for the review.

The instructions say contriller, mavic, then the phone... thats what I do, it seems to work.
