The best critique of Wes Huff's Joe Rogan Experience video is the one just uploaded by... Wes Huff.

Even the 1st century Jews knew Jesus was claiming to be God…

Alex has really lowered his standard of research, not to the level of Billy Carson but certainly far from much of his earlier works. Very disappointing.

Alex needs to tone down the smug tone, there's a reason why he no longer talks about Islam. Much easier to grift the christian circuit.

While John was more direct with Christ’s divinity to the modern reader, you could argue that Mark was more direct for the Jewish audience.

Alex has been drinking the Bart E. koolaid these days.

People like Alex have no clue what the title “Son of Man” from Daniel 7 is. The Pharisees knew precisely what Jesus said and killed Him for saying it.

Recently, it seems that Alex is doubling down on his anti-Christian ideology, and so his readings of the Bible are pretty hyper-skeptical. I practiced many religions after growing up in a secular Jewish NY home. (I was bar mitzvahed.) I studied them in good faith and then practiced their teachings and rituals. For example, I was a committed lay Buddhist for 5 years. I also got into Hinduism and practiced pujas and yagnas (fire ceremonies). And, at times, I was steeped in the New Age occultism. I even followed a New Age Jesus in "A Course in Miracles". I ended up with an MA in Comparative Religion as I thought I would teach young people the value and benefits of religion in general (putting off present, fleeting pleasures for future eternal rewards).
But the most challenging was authentic, devout orthodox Christianity due to Jewish history and the virulent anti-Christianity of the modern media from the 1960s onward. But I started listening to some apologists like Greg Koukl and WLC, and I began to read the Bible as I did other texts - in good faith, where I keep a questioning mind but don't go out of my way to tear it down.
For example, after studying Paul and Acts for years, when I read his report of the 500 witnesses to Jesus' Resurrection appearance, I took it to be simply truthful, based on my coming to trust in Paul's integrity. One of the most convincing pieces of evidence is how the Bible provides such embarrassing accounts of the Apostles: their arrogance, fear, faithlessness, and mental denseness regarding what Jesus was teaching. Seeing them transformed after the Resurrection strikes me as potent evidence of its reality.
(In the realm of art, I found the movie "Risen" to reflect the emotional and spiritual impact of the life and Resurrection of Jesus quite well.)

My issue with Craig's answer on the growth of Christianity, whereas I agree with him technically, Christianity grew in a very different environment, where it was persecuted horribly to become a Christian. Mormonism was not like that at all and Islam spread by conquering where people would die from not joining. I do think that is some evidence of the veracity of Christianity.

The issue, as I understand it, is not the rapid growth of a movement, but the ability of a movement to overcome the resistances to its growth. If you compare the resistances to Christianity in the first three centuries to the resistances of Mormonism in the 19th and 20th centuries they do not even compare. Islam overcame its resistances through war and military prowess. The early church’s growth resulted without the benefit of military force and war. Anyone who is going to make the claim about how fast a movement grew, must take into account all the detailed obstacles and resistances to the movement, which will then give it a much greater level of credibility.

Side note, going on with the dating of acts and pushing the Gospels before 70AD we can also conclude that Jesus prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem was truly a prophecy and not something added after the fact.

Dating the writings past 70 A.D. has a major problem. NONE of them go into any detail over the siege and destruction in Jerusalem. A MAJOR EVENT.

Wes posted a very funny and pointed “debunking” of himself. I really respected him following his experience with Billy Carson. This made me really like him.

The fact that Alex has publicly admitted that he only goes after Christianity, and not Islam, because it's safe, already discredits him. Ironically, this proves that Christianity is the true religion of peace.

Alex saw Wes blowing up and he had to take him down a peg or two to proclaim, "See? Even a great scholar like this can mess up, therefore Jesus isn't God." It's all so tiresome.

Very good!! I'm pushing 60 now and I wish I had more knowledge of scripture than I do. A lot of my life was wasted when I could have been studying the Word. God bless ❤️🙌🙏

With as intelligent as Alex is, I'm almost surprised that Alex makes the claim that Jesus doesn't profess Himself to be God in the first 3 Gospels.

Even a layman like me knows that that's not true.. But that coming from Alex doesn't completely surprise me, knowing what scripture says about those who profess themselves to be wise.

If he didn’t claim to be God, then they wouldn’t have crucified him.

Alex is normally much more careful than this - I think he stooped to 'Internet Atheist' level with this one. You have to wonder why. Does he need to boost his viewership? Is he really this skeptical and only now showing his true colours?
