Area Between Curves by Integration (Easy Way)

How to find the area between two curves? Easy calculus. All you have to do is find the area of the upper function (the definite integral from a to b of f(x) dx) and subtract the area of the lower function or curve (the definite integral from a to b of g(x) dx). This will give you the difference in the area, or the area between the two curves. I showed a few pictures and examples in the video to help you visualize. This method is called integration with respect to x.

The second method in calculus to calculate the area between two curves is called integrating with respect to y. What does this mean? Well, you take the area of the rightmost function and subtract the area of the leftmost function to obtain the area between the two curves. The rest is easy. I will talk more about integration with respect to y in the next video.

Where can I find the video on integrating with respect to y?

So we just find the definite integral of the upper curve minus the definite integral of the lower curve?
