Quantum Computing Explained by Michio Kaku

Quantum computing is a type of computing that uses the principles of quantum mechanics to solve problems that are too complex for classical computers. Classical computers use bits, which can be either 0 or 1, to perform operations. Quantum computers, on the other hand, use quantum bits or qubits, which can exist in multiple states at once. This allows quantum computers to perform multiple calculations simultaneously, making them much faster and more powerful than classical computers for certain types of problems.

In simple terms, imagine trying to find your way out of a maze. A classical computer would try every possible path one by one until it finds the exit. A quantum computer, on the other hand, could explore all possible paths at the same time and find the exit much faster.

"Jamie, pull up the video of the quantum bear"

I like how he completely ignored the question. This guy is a professor of theoretical physics at City College, NYC, so now you know what school not to go to.

He did not answer the question...he just ran a propaganda for quantum computers!

he did answer the question. Quantum computing is computing on atoms instead of transistors. Atoms is fast and small, so quantum computing is super fast. He didn't go into too much details cuz most of the listeners don't even know what transistors are

Good thing this guy wasn't around when the Segway was going to make walking obsolete. He might have convinced me.

He didn't answer how Quantum computing works.

Questioning “how does it work” is very complex answer.

Hey so what can a quantum computer actually do though?

Uh?
He doesn't know.
QC uses q probabilty states instead of logic bits, *IF* it works it will complement classic computers rather than replacing them

It seems to me that Michio Kaku does not know a word about how quantum computers work.

We already are computing on atoms, because that is how small they have shrunk the "Transistor" and its various forms, down to less than a dozen atoms

I love you guys. You are extremely interesting to me. Very intelligent

So what is it that I can do with a quantum computer versus a regular computer?

How long will that take for public to use?

....but how does it work? Answer the question, please.
