Hi, great review and comparison. Here a question and in my oppinion a deal breaker: you can't use the surface book as a tablet? due to the mere 3 hours of battery life, while the surface pro 4 has up to 9 hours (as a tablet).
I was very excited to get a surface book, but because of this point, maybe I will just get a surface pro 4 instead.

I would love to get the SP4. I mostly browse the web and watch videos, and I might play a simple game like minecraft so would the core-M be enough or is it just best to go for the i5? This will be my first surface product.

Both look like fantastic devices, I have the surface pro 3 and I love it, but am looking to trade up and get one of these 2. While the surface book seems like the better overall package, it has its cons that the Pro 4 does better, like working as a tablet. Biggest detractor for me though is the price of the Surface book. For the entry level price of the Book, I can get the second best version of the SP4, i7 with 16 gb of RAM for just a little bit more money. I'm gonna sell my SP3 and use that cash towards the i7, 16gb RAM SP4.

Will be happy with it for a good while and will probably skip the SP5 when it comes out and wait for the SP6 to upgrade again. I'm not a huge fan of MS devices, but they hit a home run with the Surface products, I love them.

Can I know: in comparision between i7 and i5 (surface pro 4), does i7 REALLY MAKE BIG DIFFERENCE? (just tempting to find a windows tablet and sit on it for a long time). Thanks

Would there be any problems with buying the base model that has the M processor, in stead of the I5 model. I would definitely like to know your opinion on the bas model, and the reasoning for $100.00 increase of price. I find the surface pro to be a basic upgrade, and the surface book to be the star of the show. FYI, I have a sp3.

I heard that surface pro 4's pen has a function that allows me to capture screen by double clicking bottom. Then how about Surface Book' pen? Does it have the same function?

Hi, if you customize the surface pro 4 to max, it costs 2700. That's equal to the price of the Book. Why does it cost the same? Does that mean it too has a dedicated videocard? If not, then I don't see why it should cost as much as the book.

Am I the only one who think the current location of the 3.5mm headphone jack port is a bad choice? I personally would rather have it closer to the table it would stand on, so that the cable wont be hanging so much!
