If I need to cut the bass, let's say 60hz using low cut to open space for the kick, should I place the EQ in the Bass group, where you have DI and AMP or cut in the DI only? Or amp only? Great video!

Hello, great video. However I have a question: When you have two EQs in parallel (HP/LP at 100Hz) with 36db/oct slope this creates a big dip at that 100Hz corner frequency, so when a note or harmonic of the bass in that frequency, that note will dissappear, right?

Great video love the EQ trick! Question When I record bass in a similar way DI and amp mic on two separate mono tracks. Doing multi takes on both mono DI and amp tracks at the same time for comping I notice some of the takes are not quite aligned .Do I need to align all these track takes so they won't be out phase before I do my comping? Great video Joe. I was just wondering... I often get recordings where the main low end is coming from the amp track and the DI is mostly attack. Do you ever get that and if so, what's your approach? Do you just employ the same logic but the other way around?
