The Truth About Day of Dragons
**Please do NOT go and witch hunt. The dev team and their supporters do not deserve trolls and childish behavior that comes out of witch hunts**
Day of Dragons is a very strange thing. This video is meant to try and shed light on the events surrounding the project during it's very successful Kickstarter campaign, and everything that followed. We all want this kind of game, and I think before we can place trust, we need some answers. There is too little evidence and information to stand behind it. There are too many shady things happening and it just leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. I hope you take the time to really hear all of this, and that you research all of it yourself as well. I welcome all evidence and information to clear any of this up!

For those of you who wanted me to play the game, this is why I haven't and will not ever.

All of the links are here:

I wouldn't recommend supporting Day of Dragons until this is cleared up. We patiently await answers and evidence.

**PLEASE DO NOT WITCH HUNT OR TROLL THE DEV TEAM OR SUPPORTERS**
I hate when people troll like that. Ask legit questions, please. Also, if any of you want to *question the audio clips* and say they are being used "out of context" or "doctored" to make Jao look bad, please refer to the description, where the full call was recorded and uploaded. The part where the user was banned was at 8-12 minutes. Nothing was taken out of context. It's all there. Listen for yourself.

Also for the record, I was just banned from the Day of Dragons Discord server because I said relying on mods to give accurate development information is not a good idea. Banned permanently with no warnings.

Just goes to show...

I asked a friend of mine, who has been developing video games and programming since 2009, about whether or not it's valid to fear someone "stealing his code" from a dev stream.
He basically scoffed at the idea, and said it would be useless to try and steal code because it's like putting together a puzzle with just one of its pieces. Unless of course it was recorded, but even then the developer would have to show basically all of his code for someone to be able to steal it.
In other words, this dev could do a dev stream, and very likely be just fine unless he was dumb enough to record the whole code and put it online.
Either he isn't as seasoned of a developer as he thinks he is, this whole project is basically a scam, or he is obsessively paranoid.

I hope for the sake of everyone that backed this project that it isn't some big scam, and an early access release happens when it says it's supposed to. I would absolutely love to see a multiplayer dragon survival game as a dragon enthusiast myself.
As a game developer myself, his behavior is unprofessional, rude, and a huge spit in the face of his fans who have every right to ask questions about the validity of this project.

No innocent man acts like this. If I've seen a swindler once I've seen one a thousand times. This man is a back-alley swindler.

200, 000 for 30 dragons? Come on.
Two years and he hasn't done anything.
It stinks of scam.

"I don't want someone messing up my code..." Omg. This is basically the definition of an inexperienced programmer. I can kinda understand this in a hobby project (regardless of the level of experience, I know I have my own gamedev babies I don't want others to touch), but if you have half a million bank for a gamedev project and you sell it in Steam, it's not a hobby anymore. This a highly unprofessional train of thought.

If it looks like a scam, sounds like a scam, reads like a scam, it's prolly a scam.

Why is the dev acting like his code is the krabby patty secret formula

This ‘developer’ reeks of narcissism. The only game I’ve ever helped fund was subnautica.. this Jao guy is the reason I typically don’t support Kickstarter games. A shame though, could have been a fun game.

Let's face it. It's just a scam.
Sad because a freaking game with dragons with good animations is something I wanted for YEARS.

"Wanna call my game a scam? Wanna call me out? I can call you out."

Okay call them out for what?

I love how the women asked if they had any actual models and he immediately says "it's not a scam" no one even said anything about a Sounds like a scam.

I like how he says
"It's not a scam" as the first thing he says it's obviously a scam if that's the first thing he says

The reveal that the game footage was actually something Icy threw together may be the most savage moment of 2019.

Jao: "I've been working on this game for two years."

Icy: "I did what you did in less than ten days. Get on my level scrub"

The women sounded like she could recite more about programming in her sleep than the entirety of the devs knowledge, buddy sounded straight up threatened by it lmao.
