Madamโ€ฆ nutritionist here who used to have an eating and exercise disorder- this is one of the best takes Iโ€™ve ever seen from a non-professional. (Even better than many professional takes!) thank you for sharing this vulnerable topic with us and for being responsible with it too. Youโ€™re a gem in this cesspool of an internet.

When I lived in Belgium I was SHOCKED to see how many fries Belgians eatโ€ฆ They have freakin chocolate sprinkles for breakfast. And then Iโ€™m likeโ€”they bike and walk everywhere, they eat their greens, real food, and it all balances out. No diet, no restriction, just moderation. And that is what life should be.
Thanks for the video โค

Thank you for addressing how *angry* people will get at those of us who don't cook. I'm not hurting anybody with my sandwiches, cans of soup, and salads. Leave me alone.

โ€œSometimes the honest version of me is not always responsibleโ€ uuugghhhh this is my exact problem when people ask how I lost so much weight. Iโ€™m stealing this line Caroline!! โค

Man, I just really appreciate the thoughtfulness you bring, Caroline. Itโ€™s clear that you think about what youโ€™re doing (making videos, educating, โ€œputting a camera on yourselfโ€) with a sense of responsibility. Thank you!

Caroline: "I don't want to do one of those videos."
Also Caroline: does one that is 1000 times more valuable.
As a fellow recovering non-intuitive eater, thank you!

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate that Caroline left her groceries at her door, went in to set the camera on the table, started to roll tape, put on the sunglasses, and then came back in with the groceries? The work it takes to nail a great scene. ๐Ÿ‘

I'm 16 now, and less than a year ago I was diagnosed with anorexia. I'm still not eating solid foods, but it does feel really relieving to hear someone say this. Thanks!

I remember watching a what I eat in a day from a popular influencer and she said "I put half a banana in my breakfast every day. I can't believe i used to eat a whole banana, thats so many calories!" And I immediately felt bad about eating a whole banana at once ๐Ÿ™ƒ people really can't think enough about what they put on the internet!

I noticed my toddler will eat so much for a few days and then barely pick at food for a few days. Itโ€™s sometimes good to see food intake in a weekly sense rather than daily because it is more balanced that way! If people want to be more transparent a โ€œwhat I eat in a weekโ€ video would probably be more realistic, or just like this grocery video. Very good idea!

Gosh... Brazilian psychologist here and Iโ€™m definitely sharing this with some of my patients. Iโ€™ve had a teeerrible relationship with food before, and so I decided to specialize in eating habits and eating disorders, so most of my patients would benefit from watching this as a reference of some things we already work on during our sessions. Love this!

Iโ€™ve struggled with being a forgetful eater- I forget to eat when I get busy, then end up binge eating when my body gets angry. Iโ€™m slowly but surely having to schedule myself to eat several small meals/ โ€˜grazingโ€™ due to being diabetic type 2 now and having had a GI bleed from a stomach ulcer in my mid forties. It takes a lot of courage to admit to problems with food, and Iโ€™m really glad you came out with such a genuinely caring way of telling how you care for yourself now. Thank you.

This whole "no-cooking" thing actually helped me a lot. I hate cooking and struggle so much with the pressure of cooking every freaking day. I also love uncooked/cold food, so I don't feel like really needing cooked food every day. But I honestly tell myself every day that I NEED to cook and you opened my eyes that I actually don't. Thank you so much for this!

Thank you for being so brave and honest. I really appreciated someone addressing this weird "what I eat in a day" fanaticism. You are doing good here. Much love โ™ฅ๏ธ

It's sooo okay not to cook! I remember when foodie culture was taking off a decade + ago, a classmate pointed out that cooking homemade food was suddenly elevated to a virtue that we all accepted without question. But some people just don't enjoy cooking and there's NOTHING wrong with not enjoying it.

Crying this hit me too hard ๐Ÿ˜ญ currently on a weight loss journey and food is literally ALL I can think about. I just want to eat healthy and NOT obsess over it, but my relationship with food is so toxic ๐Ÿ˜ข it was so nice hearing everything you said, especially about feeding your body a little more on the days you need it. Iโ€™ve spent so many days either hungry or guilty and I just want to get away from that

Thank you for being honest. As someone who has ED and trying to eat intuitively, I find all of other videos about eating quite triggering. It makes me feel guilty that I donโ€™t think about EVERY meal and donโ€™t plan everything. So thank you for being you.

The coffee rant! I'm here for it! My mum once said, "Why do you drink coffee, if you don't like it?" just because I like lots of milk in my coffee. It's a bean we roast and grind before throwing it in water, because we like how it alters our brain chemicals or something like that. Don't act as if there is only one way to drink roasted beans in water.
