Donald Trump attacks Democrats, Mitt Romney at National Prayer Breakfast following acquittal

U.S. President Donald Trump delivered remarks at the annual National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, in his first public appearance since he was acquitted of impeachment charges.

He attacked Democrats and Republican Sen. Mitt Romney over the impeachment and their votes in finding him guilty. Romney cast a guilty verdict on the first article of impeachment, a charge of abuse of power, while all Democrats and two Independent senators found Trump guilty for both articles.

Americans love him because he personifies the frustrations of millions of voters. He has shown he WILL NOT be silenced or intimidated by the daily barrage of hate towards him. Trump is the greatest thing for the 1st amendment. You may not agree, but he gets people talking about the uncomfortable issues. When 9/11 happened, I was in middle school. My teacher got a prayer group together, and we met by our flag pole the next morning and prayed with our hands interlocked. Other students walking by, unaware of our prayer group, joined in. I’m blessed that 15+ years later our President is fighting for our right of prayer.
