There will come a time when serious questions must be asked as to the viability of such a line in it's location adjacent to the river, and whether a much more frequent bus service would be a better option.Some years ago there was one bus in the evening to fill a gap in the train service which was as quick as the train.I speak as a former BR employees who is keen to promote rail where it's the best option.

Good to see previous work on the Conwy Valley line speeded repairs this time.

Question: Amongst the increasing number of climate related incidents, are any patterns forming to allow predictive, rather than reactive actions to improve resilience?

Storms do play a part in causing massive destruction and disruption to our railways because of climate change. And we are going to see more of it happening every month and every year throughout our lifetime.
