I get canker sores ALL THE TIME, and they're so incredibly painful. I've taken to calling them sugar sores, because, despite sour things being my literal favorite foods, citric acid and candy seem to make them show up. It's the worst. I've seen less of them since going to therapy and reducing stress. So that explains a lot. Thank you for posting this! It demystified something for me that's been a constant concern.

I dont get cold sores, Ive only ever gotten canker sores and i just got diagnosed with HSV-1

I used to have canker sore almost daily when one gets cured another one pops up, but since am 20 years old i no longer get them constantly maybe one a month or so, but still cant get used to the pain. Am waiting for your video about that topic so maybe there will be something might help my condition. Peace love teeth

L Lysine works great to eliminate my canker sores. Also reducing acidic foods. Thanks for the clarification.

i was getting canker sores for many years. In the end i realized it was from using listerine (mild antischeptic) 3 times per day. i change it to regular non alchool mouthwash and no more canker sores.

very good video. My patient always asked about that if the canker sore can be contagious or not. Very well explained. Canker sore is also seen in orthodontics patients beacause of the braces.
