I have this book. It was a gift. I found it practical with a neat tip i apply almost daily. That is to conclude an email with: “I think I am complete for now, otherwise please let me know” This invites people to share their views and open up.

Odd that someone like Roger would see capitalist democracy as one system. In many ways, Roger answered his own question. The answer, Roger, is that capitalism and democracy are actually two separate and distinct systems. The latter is often indistinguishable from the former to the Rogers of the world. The inabiliy to understand this distinction is the primary reason why capitalists cannot be relied upon to address questions of democratic process. It is simply a lens that knows nothing but capitalist bias.

Better questions?

What is democracy? Do we have democracy in western, developed nations?
What effect has/does capitalism have on democracy?
What kind of effect does capitalism have on human organizational behaviour? On human ecosystems?
How does capitalism benefit democracy?

The corporate group think of 'where can I win' does not address these questions or at least is not conextually equipped to answer these questions. It is the same reason why I do not allow a plumber to upgrade the electrical panel in my house.

Of course, at least the plumber knows he is a plumber and not an electrician.
