Great video. Thank you! I've had a chromebook for years but this particular manoeuvre escaped me! Also it's so nice to receive information calmly and not from someone who seems on the edge of a breakdown with a voice like a machine gun..

Thank you so much. No extra monologue, just straight to the point. You helped me do what I needed to do and saved me a lot of time and frustration.

Hi! Like nearly everyone else here, I really appreciated this video for all the reasons stated by others. I'm wondering why you thank folks for their replies of gratitude, but not those who are asking specifically for help. Can you tell me why that is, please? Thank you!!

You are confusing people, you are showing how to open the files and thumb drive but you already have it open and you are going through the steps with it open. For people who know nothing about computers that looks very confusing, I did not know what the heck you were doing. Shut it all down then go through the steps to open files that is the way to show it without mass confusion to thousands of people.

I plugged in the USB-C and saw all the photos I had uploaded from my phone. Closed the page and wanted to eject the USB. It was nowhere to be found. Don't know what to do. Leaving it stuck in the Chromebook. Went into Files following your video but the Flashdrive icon is not there. Cannot eject it. Cannot see the photos again.

If you have any problems: Failure to copy or read from a USB (and the USB works fine in other machines) this is a known fault. Chrome OS will comes up with a warning 'copying failed'. It's been suggested that Chrome know this but want you to store more on the cloud and perhaps buy more space from sounded crazy when I first head that but I'm not so sure now.

Hi! The flash drive isn't showing up in the files after I plug it in. Could it be because my child's chrome book is managed with family link?

Can you suggest a help video for a 3 in 1 flash drive ? I bought it and it didn't include a name nor a user's manual. I can't open it. It won't open in neither my Lenovo chromebook laptop nor my iPhone SE

how do you view pictures on The external hard drive if the Chromebook is not supporting it? How to view the photos?

I must also add that the files on the external hard drive are from a Windows laptop so it’s all windows based files. How do you view them on a Chromebook that belongs to a family member?
