Upgrade battery terminal WITHOUT CUTTING the OEM wire? - Knukonceptz Ultimate Battery Terminal

Показать описание
When we install a custom car audio sound system we will of course add a new power wire to connect the battery to our new amplifiers and other equipment. But the problem in many newer cars is the stock battery terminal may have a fusible link, or other electronic device installed directly on the stock terminal which means, we can't simply cut it and remove it. We need a way to retain it. The ultimate battery terminal from Knukonceptz allows us to do just that!

I installed one of these on my car last week, works great and good quality. It really helped clean up my wiring in the engine bay.

I installed one of these about a year ago and, I absolutely love it!! My car has a fused inlet on the positive side, making it nearly impossible to run an aftermarket stereo. I really didn't want to have to cut the OEM negative terminal so this came in handy for that as well. Still gotta finish doing the big 3 upgrade though.

LOL, reminds me then I was younger, I used to just crimp a ring onto the new device power side and slip it under the bolt holding the OEM clamp to the battery terminal.

Awesome thanks for this! I stumbled on it by accident bu have needed this for my non-audio 4X4 and it's on board air compressor and winch. I must have looked for over an hour at various less than ideal terminals and didn't find any this versatile.

The problem with a lot of OEM wires is that they make a 90 degree turn down the side. So, putting the OEM wire on the side would now propose an issue where the 90 degree turn from the stock harness is not going to fit. A nice concept, but not sure how many stock applications would allow for this.

I have 4 of these terminals. Knuconcept makes some awesome stuff! Also got their triple shielded cables. They make awesome stuff. Very happy with them

I've never bought something so quickly after watching a video promoting it.

I wish when i replaced mine years ago that they had these. They seem pretty amazing and time savers. The only thing i would change would be to allow the post to be mounted on either side so you would be able to keep symmetry but that would be for the ultra picky. If I ever add a system or anything I will definitely be looking for these for sure

Ive had those terminals for 5 years. Very anti corrosion but the side lugs constantly loosen. Still pleased and recommend to everyone.

It is crazy this pops up when I really need one. My terminal hinge is barely attached with a little bit of metal left. Just ordered mine, I can't wait!

Hey CarAudioFabrication guy, first of thank you for this video. The gadget you demonstrated might be what I need (have been looking for). Here's my issue (feed back would be greatly appreciated), I installed a CB radio and I wired it directly to the battery (red to positive, black to negative) the radio worked fine with no issues for about a two years. Lately the radio (which I turn off when not in use), has started to drain my battery.

At first (after having a dead battery four or five times in a span of a week), I thought my battery was just old and needed to be replaced. I replaced the battery and the very next morning I needed to jump start my car again. So I disconnected my CB from the battery and it is now powered via a cigarette lighter power adapter and I've had no more issues with a dead car battery since I took this action.

I don't like having the CB powered through the cigarette lighter adapter, it looks tacky and I dislike having to plug and unplug all the time. I liked having the CB powered directly to the battery. Will this gadget keep my CB from draining my battery?

YES! Didn't want to cut my harness on my 98 mark 8 when I install a system, will be using these.
Thanks for the informative videos sir!

Shouldn't they be mirror images of each other so that the posts end up on the outside of the battery?

Right on. I've wondered about these terminals because I have the fused link! Thanks for demoing them. My fused link is offset 90 degrees to the side of the battery just like the one you pictured, and I've wondered if it's possible to use the side post location just because of how things would be oriented.

These are so freakin sweet that I bought 2 sets. They fit both positive and negative perfectly.

Knukonceptz makes fantastic products. Have their wiring in all of my cars and I'll never use anything else.
