Grandstream GWN 7664 and GWN 7660 Wi-Fi 6 Multi Access Point Setup

This video covers the Grandstream Networks Wi-Fi 6 Access Points, the GWN7664, and the GWN7660, as well as setting up multi-access points using its built-in controller. Having a built-in controller eliminates the need for separate software or having to purchase a separate hardware device increasing the value proposition. I was quite surprised as I had never used Grandstream products before, that these performed very well. Hi Mike. Thanks for the review. Like you I use ubiquiti and Grandstream. The comments about controllers is bang on. Only issue I have with Grandstream is the mounting. Really cannot use them in a home as it is very difficult to hide the wires where they come out of the ceiling whereas with ubiquiti the wires are hidden.

Love your videos Mike, so much great info. Silly question, can the second LAN port be used to connect a PC or the like to the network? If so, does the PoE need to be turned off in the switch settings or is it autosensing?

You mentioned this in this EXCELLENT video Am I crazy or is the only way to upgrade the firmware locally on these GS APs is to login with the MAC and Password, as a Master, then change the FW address, and update/upgrade. Then when done, unit is back to blue. Factory default/reset, back to purple and done. When updating the FW on the Master it does NOT update the slaves automatically unless I was missing a step. Is it me or is that odd? I see no place in the Master GUI to pass newer FW to the slaves.

Have you ever had the problem of the Gwn7664 not broadcasting 2.4ghz? It doesn't broadcast as standalone ssid. It does with dual band but you can't connect to it.

Hi I am usign GWN 7660 access point and currently I can't find my ip using GWN Discovery Tool. I tried mac link and it's not working. Now how can I access my control panel?

I'm trying to access the device management but I can't find the random password. It says in the manual that the username default is "admin" but I don't find the password. your help is highly appreciated.

Are those two ports switched on the APs? So additional devices can be connected to the second port and be part of the same lan?
