Hermeneutics - Literal vs. Non-literal

Показать описание
I’ve been thinking about #hermeneutics a lot recently. In this video we talk about the discipline in general and dive specifically into some non-literal traditions of Biblical interpretation. We will talk a bit about the #quadriga - the “Fourfold Sense” of Scripture - and spend most of our time dissecting the #Hebrew midrashic traditions of “notarikon” and “gematria”. We will end by comparing these methodologies with the literal, grammatical, historical approach.
