Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on pursuing the truth, just like it doesn't have a monopoly on the 100 other elements of human existence that Peterson always attributes to Christianity.

Whenever Peterson speaks, he always makes a number of presuppositions that he just treats as axiomatic. When asked to justify these presuppositions, he usually says it's "not that simple" or that it would take "several days" to explain it.

The only thing taking several days here are my eye rolls.

JBP is intellectually dishonest. Redifining what is meant by Atheism to assume it means not believing in the truth is stupid. The definition is simple, don't believe in any God. Implying that that's incompatible with earnestly chasing after the truth is why no serious thinker takes him seriously

I agree. The reputation of science has been tarnished with lies
I wish it was not so. I miss the days of being able to trust experts without having to look for any hidden agendas or corrupt power structures behind their lies.

I also agree that the spirit of truthful science has much in common with the spirit of God. Just as a true scientist will always share their findings even if it doesn’t fit their hypotheses; It takes an honest scientist’s mindset to seek the truth for yourself with the full intention of following through with whatever answer you receive- regardless of the outcome.

Pursuing science wherever it takes you to discover genuine thruths is in no way equivalent to pursuing a fictional character by studying a story book which only claims to be true and offers supernatural miracles yet no evidence.

He should stick to psychology. Straying into religion is turning him into a laughing stock.
