Dawkins is talking about empiricism and Peterson is talking about philosophy and culture. They're both relevant and important but not directly related.

Everybody is saying that Dawkins is being too literal. The problem is that many Christians claim, not that christianity and the bible are fables made to teach moral lessons, but absolute fact.

And so If you are having a conversation about the truth of religion, it is interesting to talk about the things claimed as fact rather than just a moral belief which is subjective.

Dawkins is the most literal individual i ever listened to (and i have read several of his books). When he says "truth" he actually means "literal facts" which is the only form of "truth" he understands.

The whole point of the virgin birth and resurrection is that it doesn't happen all the time. If it did, it wouldn't be significant.

Peterson: An intelligent, intellectual and knowledgeable speaker who lets his emotions hinder his ability to make a point.
