Thank you for bringing up Ryan White. He has been a role model since both of my parents were diagnosed HIV positive. This was in 1988. I was 7 years old. This was my father was diagnosed. My mother was diagnosed in 1990. I was 9 years old, an day father had just passed away. After my mother was diagnosed in April of 1991, I was sent from NYC to my aunt and uncle (which I am so grateful) to Texas. In the 6th grade, my beautiful science teacher Mrs. Keel asked me to please explain to my peers how HIV was actually transmitted. The reason for this was that students would constantly me if I had HIV, which I didn't. So there I was, 12 years old, discussing how HIV was transmitted. This does not even remotely compare to what Ryan White and his family went through. Sending his family so much love 💘

R.I.P. Ryan White (1971-1990). I'm 37 and I remember him and the impact he had on the world. Such a tragic story but very inspiring.

Drew always brings such humanity to all of her interviews. I grew up watching these two and I’m so happy for both of them.

I went from absolutely falling in love with Drew’s outfit, to sobbing. I will never forget Ryan White and the horrific battles he faced, all while smiling. He is still such an inspiration and so loved to this day. He always will be. Rest In Peace Ryan. 🙏🏻💜

I remember watching what Ryan and his family went through. It was incredibly heartbreaking (still is). These 2 ladies were icons to my 80s kid/90s teen self! They really turned out to be great women

I don't think any Gen X kid forgot about Ryan White. I remember seeing him on the news and in the Weekly Reader. That poor kid.

4:14 WOW, Winona Ryder beat out the both of them to win the role in Beetlejuice, that says a lot. I wonder who else she beat out.

I'm actually glad that both Alyssa Milano and Michael Jackson were there for that young boy Ryan White, and how they used their fame to help bring awareness for people especially children with HIV ❤️

Love this show and Alyssa. I grew up on charmed. Every time I see Alyssa, I’m reminded of my childhood. I used to be a member of her website around 15 years ago and if I remember correctly, she would go live in the chatroom on her site every Thursday and let us ask her questions. She was such a light for me in a very dark time of my life.

I never thought about it, but these two really have had similar experiences in Hollywood, I'm shocked they've never worked together before.
