Charmed: Shannen Doherty PRAISED Alyssa Milano Before Death

The late Shannen Doherty praised longtime frenemy and 'Charmed' co-star Alyssa Milano on 'The House of Halliwell' podcast, in comments recorded before her death at 53 years old on Sunday. The castmates' infamous feud played out in public for decades, including Shannen's claim that Alyssa instigated her firing from the drama series after three seasons.

I don't think Shannen hated Alyssa, They just weren't friends. Not everyone in is going to be all get along. But she still wished her well in life. I do think I remember Shannen saying she did not want anyone crying and being fake at her funeral. Only having true people there. A dig that she didn't want her to be.

I think Shannon and even Alyssa realized that at the end of the day ... all this drama, bitterness, holding grudges means absolutely nothing in the big scheme of things. These are wasted emotions if we harbor them. When someone is close to leaving this planet, you realize that LOVE and goodness nourish our souls. Hopefully a learning lesson for all of us.

My late mom and I used to watch Charmed together... we LOVED it! It was the best with Shannen, Alyssa, and Holly. I wish Shannen had stayed, but I love the 3 years they had together! I love that Shannen was trying and succeeded in leaving the World on a good note with everyone, including Alyssa. I also loved her in 90210, and in Little House. I have been a fan for YEARS, what a great career Shannen had! I can't picture Shannen resting peacefully in heaven, with all of her energy I can picture her organizing a choir and all of the fun activities there! Bye Shannen, the best to you beautiful!

Shannen has always been classy. When she finally told her side of the story with Holly on Let's Be Clear, she didn't bitch about Alyssa or hate on her. She just said what happened and said it was sad. And it was. Her and Holly said how they hated that the producers won in pitting them against each other. Charmed was a lesser show without her. They weren't mean. They just told the truth. And Shannen deserved to be able to tell her side after being painted as a problem for so long.

When you are at death's door, you realize all the bitterness, anger, resentment, negativity is all for nothing. Shannen saying those things about Alyssa, in the podcast, is way different from what she has been saying all those years.

I am so proud of Shannen for deciding NOT to take that baggage with her into her next journey. I pray Alyssa has learnt from Shannen too. Human beings do shitty things. It's in our nature. And look... now, it just doesn't matter! Bravo Shannen! RIP!

Shannen’s right regardless of what happened Alyssa suited the role more they all suited their roles and they had great chemistry, if they continue with a reboot or movie the only thing they can do is use photos and footage of Prue. Rip Shannen 🙏 we love you 💔

Charmed was a high quality show and I loved the message of family, sisters and Friendship and about good overcoming evil. The show was a banger im a huge fan. Sadly the other girls all had issues or disliked Alyssa, Shannen wasnt alone as they all sided with Shannen however Shannen and Alyssa had a special feud. I dont think Shannen hated her, I think she hated what Alyssa did and because of that act their couldnt ever be any kind of friendship.Its sad and I do believe Alyssa Milano learned her lesson she was young and full of ego and most likely took it too far. I agree with Shannen the actress playing Phoebe before Alyssa didn’t really embody the essence of being “the little sister” or have the same comedic timing Alyssa had. Regardless of what their relationship was prior to Shannen’s death I do believe that they both respected each other’s talents.

I don't think the word "PRAISED" in big capital letters is appropriate for the title to this video, and I think that if Shannen was still here, she too would say that she was far from praising Alyssa in those statements she made. Complimenting her, maybe, but not praising her by no means. Just because Shannen said, everyone on the show was great, and that when Alyssa came in it provided like a levity that she thought the show ended up needing, doesnt exactly translate or equate to "PRAISE", sorry to burst your bubble, ET. . . Also, the clip where Shannen says that Alyssa is great and shes adorable was from 1998, so you can't really include that to your "praise meter" because the series "Charmed" started in 1998, therefore, they had just started working together. Entertainment Tonight and any other platform that tries to twist words & past interviews around now that Shannen's not here anymore, just know that Shannen's true fans know how she really felt about Milano. I liked Shannen's attitude in her acting and reality. She is intense and passionate, and she knew who she was and what she wanted, no facade. Not all ppl or celebrities do that, but she did and that was one of her characteristics I liked about her. RIP Shannen Doherty! 🙏🙏

I was at that convention. I heard them both speak. Alyssa spoke much about the issue, but said nothing of substance and her words rang hallow, insincere and self serving. Shannen spoke little about the issue, but what she said came across as genuine, honest and sincere. As for me, I believe that Alyssa played a huge role in Shannen getting fired from the show and even 25 years later, she still cannot bring herself to come clean and admit that Shannen would not have been fired if it were not for her. Alyssa had 25 years to right a wrong that she perpetuated. To apologize for costing a fellow actress her livelihood. Too late now. Shannen is gone. There is no making things right with her now. Not that Alyssa ever intended to anyways. Shame.
