I think you've been sucked into the conspiracy theory rabbit hole. 15 min cities have nothing to do with restricting freedom of movement. That's ULEZ. They are quite distinct. The idea is simply convenience and efficiency. Having everything you need within 15 min walk instead of having to drive out of town to a big box store. It's a fine idea in principle.

I am very disappointed that you are spreading this conspiracy theory. 15 minute cities is an idea proposed by an academic professor, to provide all services needed (education, health, shopping, leisure, etc) in all neighborhoods within a 15 minute walking distance. It has nothing to do with limiting your ability to travel outside your 15 minute radius. The academic professor is suffering death threats because of this misinformation.

Explicitly limiting where you can go. That’s not accurate. In some places that would be true in others not so much. It is about reducing movement though. Ultimately won’t work and create an entirely new and abundant set of problems. There is an option if you’re against them. Move to the country.
