★COMMON QUESTIONS★
Q: Will this run minecraft at 60fps ultra settings maxed out 1080p?
A: Yes
Q: With shaders too?
A: Still yes

Q: Will this run CS: GO at 60fps ultra settings maxed out at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K?
A: Definitely

Q: How will I connect to the internet with this PC?
A: You will either need to get an Ethernet cable or a pci wifi card to connect to the internet (I highly prefer using an Ethernet cable connection to your router since its faster, cheaper, and easier to use)

Q: Do I need Windows?

Q: Will I need to buy an optical drive for this pc?
A: Not really, I HIGHLY recommend you just reuse an old optical drive to install windows (unless you don't have one lying around your house) since you'll only be using it once and buying an optical drive will be a waste.

Q: Does this PC come with fans, do I need to get any?
A: Typically, cases come with fans in them already, however if your case comes only with one fan, its recommended that you pickup one more fan just to be safe (I used a single fan pc for a while, and had no problems, but my pc would get quite hot under rendering and intense gaming) If your case comes with two or more fans, then your alright.

Q: Is everything in this pc compatible?
A: Yes, or else PCPartPicker would give a compatibility error.

Perfect for my college needs. My parents won't buy me a PC, and this fits my budget perfectly. Dieting on ramen and potatoes for a few months finally paid off lol.

I love how the minimal price of a VR ready computer has dropped from 1000 dollars to 450 dollars, still not cheap, but way more affordable, let's see what the future heads to

Have you tested and verified the VR performance of this setup? The benchmarks are fine and dandy otherwise, but they give absolutely no clues of what the performance and the overall experience is going to be once you hook up a Rift or Vive and try to play something with them.

Interesting, my current build is almost identical to this with some minor exceptions on ram brand and power supply, and the most important thing my video card wich i was thinking of upgrading with the rx 480, im currently with a saphire radeon 5450, wich feels so outdated, its nice to see the almost exact build i could have, now i know is exactly as i expected, cheers

+ScatterVolt Tech hey I subscribed and dropped a like. I'm new to all the PC Gaming and what not but I was thinking about doing this build as a start. I just wanted to ask if this was sure to work with HTC Vive?

Thermaltake Smart SE series of psu are extremely underrated. It's the bestest value psu out there. 100% black cables and semi modular and very cheap
I'm using the 730w model

would it be possible to replace the RX 480 with its counterpart, the GTX 1060?

I would go for a pentium g3258 tbh, it's just about the same price as the g4400, and its unlocked, I've personally overclocked mine all the way to 4.3 ghz with the stock cooler and I've been achieving framerates almost as good as my friend's 4790k running at stock

Just out of curiousity, how many PCI-E slots on the motherboard? Wondering for possible Crossfire configuration in the future?

The problem with the build is that if you use an RX 480 with the 430 watt because your CPU draws such low energy you will have to also get another power supply if you are going to get a cpu like the new skylake i5's or i7's.

Tl:DRL: I think its worth to spend 20 dollars extra on another power supply like the corsair 500cx to save money in the near future.

I see one major flaw, the RX 480 isn't $200, it's $230 for the cheapest one right now, and the cheapest RX 470 is $195.

What cpu cooler(air) do you suggest with this build? (budget ofc) :) or stock will be fine with O.C?
