Talk about being the mane attraction! Meet Sovereign, Britain’s tallest horse who stands at a whopping 10FOOT.
The six-year-old shire horse measures just under 21 hands from his hoof to the withers at the bottom of his neck – the equivalent of just under 7 ft but the top of his head stands a staggering 10ft above the ground.
Four years ago, he was so neglected and underweight it would have taken a slight push to send him to the ground but now, thanks to his new owner Paul Evans, he stands proud as the tallest horse in Britain.
Paul, 41, is a lofty 6ft himself but doesn’t mind being dwarfed by a whopping 48 inches in the shadow of his beloved Sovereign, who stands an incredible 4ft over his 3ft tall best friend Grace.
